Hint:  Not only did he have the best OBP over that time, he was the league leader in every individual year during that time as well.

Wade Boggs career line: .328/.415/.443

Joe Mauer career line: .323/.405/.468

Wade Boggs career line: .328/.415/.443

Joe Mauer career line: .323/.405/.468

So Boggs has been a better hitter because OBP is more important.  Also, Boggs did it in a diminished offensive era.

But throw defense in there?  Mauer wins in a landslide.

He also did it in Fenway, however.

He's seriously underrated, though. Guy was good.

Joe Mauer career BR WAR = 41.5 (oWAR = 42.0, dWAR = 3.4)
Wade Boggs career BR WAR = 90.9 (oWAR = 80.5, dWAR = 12.9)

Boggs has just over twice as many plate appearances.

I didn't realize Boggs was such a defensive stud.  Blows Mauer away.

What was the name of Boggs' long-time mistress that eventually split with him and made a huge scene in the press? (This isn't trivia, I'm legitimately asking.)

Margo Adams.

Sadly, I knew this, too.

So I take this to mean you do not know the facial hair trivia.

It was the obvious answer.  But almost too obvious.  Like it was a trick question.  But it was a fake trick question.

Three current MLB players have 2,000 hits with one team -- but are no longer with that team.  Name them.

I am the opposite of a stats geek so these are guesses-at best.  I will say Ichiro and Pujols as two players.  But Pujols is probably a stretch as I do not think he is even at 2,000 hits yet.
