I can't see any scenario, at this point, where the Twins would trade Sano. That kind of power is so rare.

I sure hope so. Keep him.

Bigger issue is always going to be starting pitching.

I get he doesn't want a 20M SP if he trades Sano.

but to part with Sano you need to get a young arm on the cusp & i still would not do it.

Agree. I think virtually any scenario including Buxton or Sano right now and the Twins hang up the phone. Getting to be that point with Berrios right now too.

Personally, I love Sano, but I wouldn't be completely opposed to dealing him in the right offer. For instance, it takes Sano to get Price? I'd do it.

Buxton to me is our one ultimate untouchable, but to deal either Berrios or Sano at this point I'd need an ace.

It would be painful, but anyone else (maybe anyone else in the entire organization) I'd deal in the right situation.

on Polanco

His throws from the hole float just enough to concern me.

From shortstop the ball should hiss (a la Santana).

Byron Buxton leads the Southern League in Triples (9) and Runs (29). Miguel Sano is 2nd in Runs (27) and 3rd in Home Runs (8).

Seriously might be the best single collection of talent on one team in the minors that we've ever had. I can't think of one that compares in terms of depth.

And I do think it's the best collection in all of the minor leagues right now. The Iowa Cubs had an argument before Bryant was called up.

Wasn't mentioned:

Harrison/Walker tied for 5th in runs scored (25)

116 runs between 4 guys

Polanco tied for 4th in hits(46) Buxton 1st in total bases (76) Walker tied for 3rd(74), Buxton 4th in steals(11),

And again, their #5 hitter, the 22 year old Kepler, is OPS'ing better than any of them. Over .900.

A true Murderers Row, not like the old Twins Murdered Row.

Too bad #Indians are in AL Central, or I might offer Sano and Rosario for Lindor and 19-yr-old catcher Francisco Mejia. Santana to left.

I'd also be ready to put Santana in the deal instead of Rosario or make it a straight-up offer:

I'd also call the #Braves, who are shedding $$$ and collecting prospects, and offer them 2 of my top 10 plus 1 more for Andrelton Simmons.

If I'm dealing 3 of my top prospects, I'm not looking to add a $20 million/year starter. I want a young shortstop under long-term control.

Just having fun after a follower pointed out #MNTwins upcoming 40-man squeeze.

Right-handed power is in high demand.

Twins already have Plouffe, so I'd sniff around on possible deals.

And he says that even w/Gordon/Polaco, the Twins still need a long term SS solution.

I was hoping Gordon would be the long term answer.

He can be, Steve. Still think he will be. The draft is coming up. Law's latest mock for the Twins has us taking Allard:

http://www.twinkietown.com/2015/5/21/8639183/2015-mlb-mock-draft-keith-law-projects-kolby-allard-to-the-twins

Not a bad pick, but I'd rather have Aiken (even with health risk) or Carson Fulmer. I fully admit I'm biased on Fulmer, but he reminds me a lot of Sonny Gray. Incredibly good kid, great arm, just a little "small". Even similar stuff; and he's been dominant of late for Vandy on their run to repeat at national champs. He's just a little more wild in his delivery. But he could rise very, very quickly, just like Sonny did for the A's.

Those would be my top 2 "likely" guys at our slot. But I wouldn't hate it to get Allard either. Would love to have another impact arm in the system.

On a separate note, I still think Vandy's got a good chance to repeat. The volatility of the CWS, just like March Madness, makes it tough, but they have the talent. This year was supposed to be "the year" and last year was a building year supposedly. They have 3 guys that will likely be top 10 picks this year and a bevy of other guys there or committed to Vandy that will be drafted in the top 200 picks or so. Best college baseball program going right now, for sure.

Well, maybe not. Game suspended early with a power outage. To be continued tomorrow.

I heard Sano lit into one and it hit a light tower, with sparks everywhere. The Natural style.

I have to admit I thought Jorge may be a lost cause last season. He looked awful at Elizabethton. Guess we gotta remember these kids are still just that. He's 21.

#MNTwins have released 1B Brock Peterson. Hit just .186 in 29 games (97 at bats).

Peterson was gone a couple years, came back this season. Less room for him w/Vargas on board. Made room for Duffey.
