Sweens' favorite minor leaguer pulled a De Jong tonight for FTM

5BB/7H/7R in 1.2IP

I will never understand wasting a 4th round pick and over paying the slot for that worthless POS.

Now that we have two catchers hitting well in the majors what will become of our star minor league catchers?

Best ones are still at FTM. So they're ok for depth at this point.

They will rot on the vine before we do anything with them. I'll trade them to another team when they can pry one out of my cold dead fingers ... oh sorry, Terry Ryan flashback.

Looking at old pictures of TR I think that guy really did have "cold, dead fingers".

At spring training, I was amazed at how many guys walking around the stadium were dead ringers for Terry Ryan. It's like the organization has a thing for hiring old, skinny, bald guys.

LOL Sweens. I remember us having two catchers who were lighting it up in the Minors. One named Jeffers and I forget the name of the other. Are they still doing great?

Walked away last night impressed by under the radar #Twins prospect Randy Dobnak. Undrafted free agent signed in 2017. Showed makings of a potential back of the rotation starter. FB sat 92-94 T95 w/ good run. Used SPL (grip = release shown below) to generate constant GBs. (cont)

Hear that Dobnak has been moved up to AA by the #MNTwins. Have heard good things about this Twins prospect who doesn't get much attention, but probably should. Had a .4 ERA in 22.1 IP for High-A.

So Smeltzer was moved up to AAA? Maybe that Dozier trade will pay some dividends.
