Twins minor leaguer Jose Rosario was hit with a 50-game suspension without pay by Major League Baseball for a positive test for a drug of abuse.

Rosario, an 18-year-old, hit .248 in 42 games in his home country in the Twins' Dominican Rookie League affiliate last year.

What happens when your minor league system is full and you can't play

Minnesota Twins
Released: RHP Benjamin Dum | RHP Nate Hadley | RHP Brian Rapp | RHP Rogelio Reyes | RHP Alex Schick | RHP Frandy Torres | LHP Petru Balan | LHP Evan Gillespie | LHP Matt Jones | LHP JT Perez | LHP Steven Theetge | LHP Ryley Widell | LHP Niall Windeler | C Trevor Casanova | C Taylor Grzelakowski | C Jake Hirabayashi | C Eric Jones | C Kidany Salva | C Sergio Toribio | C Albee Weiss | 1B Trevor Jensen | 1B Parker Phillips | 3B Joe Cronin | SS Alec Craig | SS Adrian Guzman | OF Jared Akins | OF Bryson Gandy | OF Erick Rivera | OF Tyler Webb | OF Malique Ziegler

Webb hit some dingers in ST with the big club. Schick was a big RHP they drafted. Cronin was also a higher pick. Grzelakowski had converted to catcher and had a decent 2019.

Baseball America now has the top 10 for each team and the guys with the best skills requiring membership. In announcing their top 10 they still leave the projected starters in a few years for free

Here's how we project their lineup in 2024, with their 2024 age in parentheses.

Catcher: Ryan Jeffers (27)
First Base: Alex Kirilloff (26)
Second Base: Luis Arraez (27)
Third Base: Royce Lewis (25)
Shortstop: Jorge Polanco (30)
Left Field: Trevor Larnach (27)
Center Field: Byron Buxton (30)
Right Field: Max Kepler (31)
Designated Hitter: Miguel Sano (31)

No. 1 Starter: Jose Berrios (30)
No. 2 Starter: Michael Pineda (35)
No. 3 Starter: Kenta Maeda (36)
No. 4 Starter: Jhoan Duran (26)
No. 5 Starter: Randy Dobnak (29)
Closer: Jorge Alcala (28)

They don't have Balazovic in the rotation by 2024? God, I hope we've moved on from Uber by then.

Marketing would have a field day w/Dakota Days when he pitches and all that fun stuff.

And I agree Allis would be the natural nickname.

Our fastest prospect:

Twins: Aaron Whitefield, OF

Since signing out of Australia for $70,000 in May 2015, Whitefield has run his way up the organizational ladder, making his big league debut in 2020, when he, not surprisingly, made two pinch-running appearances. He’s swiped 30 or more bases three times, including in just 51 Rookie-level Gulf Coast League games back in 2017. While the jury is out whether he’ll hit enough to use that speed regularly in the big leagues (career .637 OPS), he understands how to steal a base, with 115 steals and a 77.7 percent success rate.

You have to hand it to the Twins Australian Scout.

He’s lived in Paradise for 20 years
Lots of Chicks there.
Signs guys.
Highly touts them
and they all suck.
But he cashes checks from his Porsche in the Bank Drive through lane and keeps his job.

But, but, but what about Liam Hendricks?

Doesn't change how spot on your assessment is. I just wanted to beat Matt to it.
