Status: offline 		My son went to Cedar Rapids on Saturday night. He said its a joke, all the batting averages are terrible and the two teams combined for 9 errors. He said all the pitchers threw hard, which I guess is a positive.

Baseball as become swing for a dinger and don't give a damn about the rest of the game.

For pitchers, pump it up to as many MPH as possible.

My favorite parts of baseball has always been stealing (I liked to see them make it and not make it) and a ball hit in the gap and legging out a double or triple. That stuff is pretty much gone from the game.

The injuries started with No. 1 prospect Royce Lewis, who tore his ACL before spring training even began, and have continued throughout the minor league season, wreaking havoc on the seasons of many of the Twins’ top prospects.

But two who have remained healthy and have impressed at Double-A thus far — pitcher Josh Winder and infielder Jose Miranda — were promoted to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday, taking them just one step away from the big leagues. Winder is the Twins’ No. 12 prospect per MLB Pipeline and Miranda is No. 16.

Winder, who turned heads this spring, was 3-0 with a 1.98 earned-run average with the Wind Surge this season, striking out 65 in his 54.2 innings pitched to begin the year.

Miranda, a cousin of “Hamilton” playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda, was hitting .345 with a .408 on-base percentage and .558 slugging percentage at Double-A before his promotion. Miranda had hit 13 home runs and driven in 38 in 47 games with the Wind Surge.
