Wallner actually needs to be fast tracked
Can play decent outfield defense

Lefty

Could make Larnach and Kepler trade bait

I think the only 3 I have heard of were Gant, Refsnyder and Maggi. The rest can circulate their resumes to the various independent leagues.

Any thoughts on this guy?
Ben Adler of Baseball America reports that the Twins will sign infielder Bryan Acuña.
Acuña is the youngest brother of Braves superstar Ronald Acuña Jr. and Texas Rangers prospect Luisangel Acuña. The infielder is considered one of the best prospects in the international class, and won't turn 17 until August. He has a chance to hit for average with a compact swing that offers bat speed, but could develop some power as he matures. He also gets quality reviews for his feel for the game, which isn't too surprising considering his pedigree.

There is no way to know when you are signing 16 and 17 year olds. Polanco and Sano were signed as 16 year olds and are successes. The Twins sign several of these kids every year. Who are the big successes we have signed since those two?

As far as Acuna himself, he is the 39th ranked international prospect and signed for the very modest sum of $650,000. That tends to put him in the fringe category. Not to say that he can't exceed expectations, but the probabilities aren't on his side.

The first time I heard of the Twins signing an underage phenom prospect was Sano. IIRC he was an extremely big deal. Acuna is interesting. Does he have speed like Ronald? You have him as the 39th best international prospect. If he's only 39th the blurb I posted was misleading calling him one of the best.
