Some posters think everyone wants Hicks to fail. I really wanted him to succeed the last 2 years he was up. Reality sets in that he wasn't ready offensively at 25 to take the CF job and he is running out of time with Buxton on the horizon. I hope he can be our 4th OF for Def. purposes and that is all the expectations I have for him.

I do want to hold onto him until his 26 & 27 years as a 4th OF (in the hope he can turn into a late bloomer offensively like Carlos Gomez).

Get Hicks up so he can have 1/2 a good season, then the Twins will overspend on a 4-5 year contract.

Ryan is such a GM genius that way.

I think the Asst is just as bad.....isn't Anthony or Antony negotiate the contracts with Ryan's permission?

yes, which is why both should go. I don't see anything changing if Antony takes over.

Korecky gives up a single/walk to Hicks/Rosario, after a pb, Pinto doubles them both in to give Roch a 6-3 lead.

Hicks 2-3 with 2 walks.

I get the feeling we'll have more fun watching AA and AAA this year.
I also think by mid July we have Sano, Buxton, Meyer, May, Hicks, Burdi and Tonkin on the big league team.

Still say he's a 5 tool player that needs to get his head on straight.

I just wish he would stop switch hitting for good this time.

Seems like it all plays in his head. He quit, now he's back. Quit thinking and start swinging.

Hey Ed do you think Levi Michael (another 1st round pick) could be a late bloomer like Dozier? He is 24.6 but has had injuries....

Michael IMO could wind up as a trade piece, or a backup, but will need to play some other spots. Just not a lot of power in the bat to this point.

Polanco has passed him up already, and can play both SS/2B, they like Vielma a lot,and of course Dee Gordon is above all those for potential.

Burdi seems early on like a high wire act. really good when on but capable of blowing up on a dime.

maybe 98 and straight is not as good as 94 with movement when he doesn't have 2 strikes on a batter.

May have to learn how to dial it down to smooth out the roller coaster ride.

First outing in CRapids was a disaster last year, got better after that.

Hoping for the same.
