I wouldn't trade Wiggins yet....he might still be a star. You had better get someone with a ceiling as high as his if you trade him.

I'm really hoping to be pleasantly surprised by Wig, but I'm not holding my breath. I see a guy who is going to consume a lot of salary cap space beyond his worth. You could make a solid argument for the Wolves being better off trading him for Butler instead of LaVine.

Seems like, based upon the trip to China, that the Wolves are playing fewer preseason games than any other team. Also seems like that will put them at a disadvantage given the roster turnover and the need to develop new chemistry.

We are. We're playing 3. GS is playing 4. I think everyone else plays 6 or 7.

Its probably not a big deal. The preseason is too long as it is. I'm guessing (especially based on last night's game) that the guys who will "suffer" are the fringe players as Thibs is really focusing on the guys who will be playing.

I mentioned during the game that Wiggins appears to be more conscientious of reboundng, but also his off the ball cutting is so much better than previous years. That's going to be huge for him if he's going to be a 3rd option when the starters are on the floor.

Very strange Wiggins hasn't signed his contract yet. Or has he? Wiggins will probably be the most compelling story on this team. Will he accept his role? Will he improve his defense and rebounding? Will he clash with Butler? I fear things could go south with him eventually asking for a trade.

Its an interesting point since he essentially becomes untradable the second its signed.

I wonder if the hold-up is on him or us?

Maybe he's asking to be traded instead of signing it because he doesn't want to be the 3rd fiddle? Or maybe Thibs is considering trading him and wants to see how he fits with the current team.

Regardless, I really, really think we should trade him now before he signs it. Even getting peanuts will likely be a better move for the team long term than paying him a big contract. I just don't think Wiggins has it in him to be worthy of that big deal.

I think that ship has sailed. We would look desperate and get chump change.

Esp when you consider we could have got George or Irving and we weren't willing to deal him then why now.

pretty sure, like it or not, Wiggins is here for the long haul

Can you imagine this team with George in place of Wiggins? Would have been a huge gamble for a possible one year rental, but no guts no glory. It would have been tough for George to opt out of that team.

I’d trade Wiggins to the Bulls for Lavine today.

Doesn't seem like LaVine will even be ready to play before 2018 according to the latest reports. If you were running the show I think you could get LaVine and the Bulls top 4 protected pick for next year.

LaVine could suffer from that injury for a long time. Needs his amazing athleticism. Like the guy, but would rather have Wiggins at this point.

LaVine may be toast. Wiggins may take a long time to develop properly. A large part can be left at Flips door step by not teaching him enough. He is going to have to unlearned a lot of things. Andrew is highly confident but over valueshis worth. It took Hardin a long time to grow into a superstar. He may be the best of the 3. Way to early to fully judge Wiggins. I understand the frustration. He is beginning to improve. Still a long way to go

Reminds me of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man outfit. Perhaps a new mascot to replace Crunch?

I agree he picked up bad habits under Flip & Sam.

This is my objection exactly. I don't even mind the stripe around the bottom. But the dark on top makes it look like they're wearing little sailor boy (or girl) outfits.

Just watched highlights of the Wolves vs Warriors last night. Watching the Warriors shoot three after three after three is just boring basketball. They don't even try to work it in. Of course because of the 50% bonus on long shots it is super effective.

Wish we’d have taken Jordan Bell at 16 like I wanted to.

All that guy does is everything.
Including win.

Yup.

I didn't love him at 7, but he was the easy pick at 16.

He won't be a star, but he'll be a great roleplayer for the next decade.

He must have switched his allegiance to Golden State.

The team that is on the court is not the team that finished last season with the wolves. It may take the entire season for this team to gel. Thibodaux runs a highly sophisticated offense and defense depends on each person knowing what to do. We have a lot of new players would you all have to learn how to play together as a team. There are signs of a good team coming together but it may be a very frustrating process until everything comes

I've never actually thought of Thib's offense as being sophisticated.
