ORIGINAL: Aaron Cross Very strange Wiggins hasn't signed his contract yet. Or has he? Wiggins will probably be the most compelling story on this team. Will he accept his role? Will he improve his defense and rebounding? Will he clash with Butler? I fear things could go south with him eventually asking for a trade. Its an interesting point since he essentially becomes untradable the second its signed. I wonder if the hold-up is on him or us? Maybe he's asking to be traded instead of signing it because he doesn't want to be the 3rd fiddle? Or maybe Thibs is considering trading him and wants to see how he fits with the current team. Regardless, I really, really think we should trade him now before he signs it. Even getting peanuts will likely be a better move for the team long term than paying him a big contract. I just don't think Wiggins has it in him to be worthy of that big deal. I think that ship has sailed. We would look desperate and get chump change. Esp when you consider we could have got George or Irving and we weren't willing to deal him then why now. pretty sure, like it or not, Wiggins is here for the long haul Can you imagine this team with George in place of Wiggins? Would have been a huge gamble for a possible one year rental, but no guts no glory. It would have been tough for George to opt out of that team.
