Now that he has his own contract signed he can get to work on that Hughes contract......

I doubt Guerin is getting paid unless the Hughes contract is done.

Russo says that it's a simple matter of Hughes taking his time on signing. They have apparently already agreed on money. Guerin, Hughes and his agent supposedly have a great relationship and there isn't even a whiff of anything adversarial going on. My guess is they agreed on money and Hughes is taking his time deciding on length. If Billy could pull off a Larkin deal, I would bet Hughes would sign quickly for a longer term.

I wish they would just give up on the Larkin deal and move on with what we have. Larkin isn't all that and I think our young guys will do just fine as the season goes on. I predict Hughes will sign for 3 years to align his contract to end with Jack's.

Larkin wants to be here so it won't go away.
