Status: offline 		I know I'm a newbie, but I think you all did a great job on your site. It has a variety of topics; I'm still exploring links. By the way since changing the page number colors could be a potential problem, maybe you can bold only the page number that the user is actually on.

But I also discovered that in the lower LEFT hand corner, it gives you the page number by saying "page 3 of 4" for example. Toby - if you changed the colors today I'm not seeing it. Maybe I need to refresh the page...

Status: offline 		Toby, you guys did a great job! I know it must have taken a lot of work for it, who does most of the site work? You and Sammy? Can't say enough about the work you all did, moderators, etc. I'm cool with the page #s, it's different, but since it tells you on the other side what page ur on, it's nice. My minor suggestion.... if you're trying to keep up with new posts, you guys have got that down with the manilla color. But, you literally have to go through every thread and check the most recent to get the "parent" link to white out. Know what I'm saying? Maybe that's the way people prefer it, but I kinda like being able to hit the most recent post, have it clear out, and not show up as anything new until someone posts after that one.

Status: offline 		Couple of things E. We're limited by the software version as to which posts show where and the colors. If you minipulate the color to change one effect, it changes other things in the template. There are hundreds of modifications that have already been built and we have some of them here. The frustrating thing to me is that some of the mods don't always work with our version. As for the work, Toby is driving most of the time. I'm more about research and user end issues. We took turns blowing the site away early on and now we pretty much test it all before rolling it in. Wouldn't want this to be like the "other" site, ya know? ;)

Status: offline 		Toby - On a related note, is there a way to flag a particular topic so it doesn't show up on the "View Topics since your last visit" view? There are a bunch of topics I don't care a whole lot about, and they clog the view of the ones I do.

Prolly uses your cookie to identify you and drops that dated into a template. If you modified the template catagories, it would change for all users. That's what I see. Now maybe Toby will build a 'Dude" template with just your threads :lol: or maybe we can "uninvite" you to the ones you don't read and they'll be hidden to you. There is a handling fee for these things! :cool:

This is the one thing I actually miss about the Strib board - Subscribing to topics so you didn't have to wade through stuff you don't care about. Everything else about the board more than makes up for that, so I will quit my bitchin'.

Status: offline 		Something dumb, but along the rating of posters-wise, I think it'd be cool to have whoever is the leader in posts, or maybe even the top 3, have a special rating. Something like "Current Vince Lombardi Trophy Holder".... ya know, something like that, but cooler. I don't know exactly what it should be, but I like the idea. And no, I don't have any illusions it'd be me.
