Looks like Iowa ran all over our defense last night 272 rushing yards

Kirk Ferentz is a dick. Unfortunately, he's a better recruiter and coach than Fleck.

You can't win consistently without a quarterback. Fleck has done some nice things, but he's never had a good quarterback. The whole "yea yea, rah, rah, row the boat" nonsense only goes so far.

Taxes,, Death and a MN football team (whether it's pro or college) giving up a big play after they play Welcome to the Jungle, Thuderstruck, Crazy Train or Enter Sandman.

And to think people thought Fleck could never get the team to the Rose Bowl. Look at him now, haters.

In the 70's we would have joked that USC would join the Big Ten before the Gophers would meet them in the Rose Bowl.

Nice win.

Yes I’m fully aware UCLA is 1-5 and this wasn’t a commemorative print type performance. But UCLA has played a very tough schedule. They may not be a great team but they’re not terrible. That was a tough defense.

The last 2 weeks suddenly make the outlook of the season seem a lot different. Now they seem on track for a bowl game. Yes another mid to low level bowl game (oh boy!) but even that seemed unlikely after the Iowa game.

What happened to the OLine? That used to be a given. It seems like they are struggling a lot this year.

Better talent and we are trying to turn into a passing team when needed.....

They do this every year. Get on on a roll, become bowl eligible and then lose an absolute stinker against a terrible team.

Rotten cheese curds get dominated at home and won't (shouldn't) make a bowl game

It's too bad that Brosmer doesn't have any more eligibility. He started off the year a bit shakey but he's been really good lately.

Easily the best QB we've had this century.

Bucky have been bowl eligible 22 straight years and we put an end to that.

May have put an end to the Luke Fickell tenure as well.

Badgers have had a long run with plenty of wins along the way. It wouldn't hurt the Big Ten if they kind of disappeared for a while.

And now do the same with Ohio State and Michigan (although I know that's a much longer shot).

One thing I don't like about college sports is that once a team gets on a bit of a winning run, they have an easier time recruiting really good players. And once those really good players push them up to the elite stage, they can dominate forever because they can just keep stockpiling the best players in the nation, and teams that have struggled never have a shot at them.

Unlike the pros, where the worst team gets the highest draft pick, so there is always a chance to climb out of the gutter, and the best teams get the lowest draft picks and can't just keep stacking the deck.

He should get a look by some NFL teams. Not a top draft choice, but maybe later rounds or free agent. Somebody will see that quick release and think, "yeah we can work with that" and at least make him a practice squad candidate.
