Randle gets his first signature moment as a Timberwolf with a game winner at the buzzer. Replay showed how close it was. Looked like .1 second when it left his hand. I love how Booker was whining for a call because Randle pushed a defender out of the way to get the shot. When Booker had done the same thing seconds earlier driving for a shot.

Mind you I don’t fault Booker’s play. That’s a veteran knowing the situation and knowing the refs aren’t going to whistle down that play unless he outright punches someone. But then Randle in turn showed his smarts too by recognizing “okay they didn’t call Booker, they sure as heck won’t have the guts to call me seconds later on my home court. So he did what he had to do.

They were posting the odds on winning those last 2 versus Sac and Phx in the last 4 minutes.....we were less than 10% on both and won both. Amazing late game finishes.

Wolves are not good.

And now Naz goes down with a knee injury with 10 seconds left.

The trade has weakened our team.

We need to do another major trade to change our direction. As I feared from the moment of the shocking KAT trade, many fans vastly discounted his importance to this team. I'm still convinced he was the best all-around player on the team, and he's also the 2nd best Wolves player of all-time. Dumb.

While KAT may have been underappreciated, he was not our best player and not 2nd best Wolves player of all time. People need to calm down about the trade. It came right before camp. It's going to take some time for everyone to mesh and to tweak the system.

Ant is our best player. I haven't seen much talk about the trade at all. It is early, but I am of the opinion we are not on the winning side of the trade.

after the last loss, in my pondering of the TWolves situation, I do agree that Conley's lower level of play whether due to injury or age has been a factor, but over the holiday, especially weighing Ant's comments, I wonder how much the team is missing Slo Mo. Seems to me his strengths were exactly what the team is looking for right now. Things like promoting good team communication? I realize I am reaching here, but agree with the analysis which says we are not playing as well as a team as our talent levels offer. I have always liked KAT more so for his personality than strict basketball talents, but generally don't see his trade as the core issue, but maybe, I expect he did promote good communication as constructive criticism rather than complaints of team mates. Anyway . . . getting to be a long season already. Insights are always appreciated!

Randle seems more intent on sabotaging Gobert than anything else. You want the ball, Rudy? Well here it is! I'll just throw it 100 mph at your knees from 6 feet away! Can't catch that, can ya big guy?!?!? That leaves Ant to be the mediator between the two meatheads. And the 3-point specialist from the Knicks is a one-trick pony that can't even do his supposed trick. KAT is getting the last laugh. He was the best anyway, so that part doesn't bother me at all.

I don't consider Gobert a meathead. Everything I've read about him makes me think he is one of the most dedicated, level headed players the Wolves have had. He seems to understand his strengths and weaknesses and only on rare occasions lets another player get him spooled up.

The Wolves ground out an ugly one last night, but a win is a win.

Edwards seemed to be forcing his game all night, after publicly calling the team out.

As far as our new players, Julius Randle hasn't looked bad at all IMO. He is averaging 21 pts 7 reb and 4 ast on 50% shooting (34% on 3s). Not bad for meathead who is only interested sabotaging Rudy. DiVincenzo looks like he is still trying to find his place in the Wolves offense. He is having a career worst shooting season so far. Historically, he is a solid all around player and a consistent shooter, so I expect that to iron itself out.

On the season as a whole, I think the Wolves have only shown glimpses of the team defense they played last year. Even Jayden McDaniels lacks some of the consistency he had last year.

KAT is a top 5ish all time Timberwolf. But Ant is #2 and well on his way to #1, though it's hard to rank players who had completely different games and positions.

There's no way Kevin Love was better than KAT.

My Man Ant goes 3-13 and finishes with 8 points, but The Wolves hold the Lakers to their lowest point total since 2017. Gobert with one of his best games!

Wolves up by 27 at halftime.

Josh Minott had himself a spurt where he was the best player on the floor. His line, 5 minutes, 5 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal. An anomaly to be sure, but it sure is fun.

Conley and Jaden start hitting shots we will be in better shape as it looks like the defense is starting to kick in also.

Two regular season games were added to the Wolves’ slate after other teams qualified for the in-season Emirates Cup.
The Wolves will play host to the Lakers on Friday, Dec. 13, then play at San Antonio on Sunday, Dec. 15.

How long will this In Season tournament last? Seems pretty dumb.

How about giving winning team an extra 1st round pick(at end of 1st round)? Something that has some value.

4 game winning streak allowing just 85 points per game. I think the sky is falling crowd spoke too soon.

I’ve always said don’t judge a team until December especially when a core piece has changed. Here we are.

Defense is playing well. Hopefully we can keep this going. Edwards is worth the price of admission!

A subtle difference during this stretch is that Donte DiVincenzo seems to have found his stroke and his overall game.
