Timberwolves' defense has allowed 92 points or fewer in four straight games.

They're the first NBA team to do that since the Grizzlies in 2021.

And this is the first Timberwolves team to do that since 2008.

it’s a stupid game, ginned up to curry interest during a quiet time in the nba, and awards the trophy to the team that is hot at the start of the year and has no bearing (other than coincidence) on the regular or post season. stupid games yield stupid prizes

Games added
Two regular season games were added to the Wolves’ slate after other teams qualified for the in-season Emirates Cup.
The Wolves will play host to the Lakers on Friday, Dec. 13, then play at San Antonio on Sunday, Dec. 15.

How long will this In Season tournament last? Seems pretty dumb.

How about giving winning team an extra 1st round pick(at end of 1st round)? Something that has some value.

I don't really mind the in season tournament. Won't pay much attention to it. I don't think most fans will. It's a gimmick to make players give a shit about games in December by dangling some extra buck at them. It's sad that that's what it takes, but not a big deal. They're just games to me like any other.

They are trying to increase viewership but it is still falling.

Okay, we're well into December now and I have seen enough to say the state of the post KAT Timberwolves is not good.

I've been stating that for over a month. We simply lost that trade. Didn't like it from the start.

If the goal was to get out of the second apron, I wish the Wolves would have traded Rudy instead.

Short term, yes. I still think moving Towns was the right move long term though.

I don't. We no longer have that second star. Randle isn't it and we aren't likely to find one quick. Long term, I still say moving Rudy would have been the smarter play.

Per canis the wolves sound awful and painful to watch.

Also sounds like Randle needs to be shipped out sooner the better.

The Wolves are a joke. Hated the KAT trade at the time. Hate it still.

And why isn't DL posting about his favorite team anymore?
