I didn't so much as think about taking a look at the game last night so they were free to have a good one! Your Welcome.

The lines are improving weekly as is the qb. Fun to see.

The lines were indeed the difference. The o line was non existent last week, but solid on both run and pass blocking last night. The d line just dominated.

That was the most complete game they’ve played all year. Defense dominated. Offense got the running game going again and featured a balanced attack. That 98 yard drive was a thing of beauty.

a no yard run
drop back pass and Lindsey fumbles but they recover it
a sack

Nice job PJ. You really came to play today. Shame on CBS for airing this hot garbage

After the first five minutes all I could think of was Herb Brooks Quote:

Had an interesting conversation about PJ.

Lots of big time college jobs are open:
LSU
Penn State
Florida
Arkansas
OKie State
UCLA
Virginia Tech

The conversation with the better jobs PJ has it pretty good here where anything above 7 wins is somewhat acceptable.....the above list that isn't enough. Pretty cozy here and his buyout is pretty nice.

Gophers were absolutely gifted that OT for the win

If your talking about the PI calls in OT, I think the officials got them both right. The bigger issue is that the Gophers played like crap against a terrible team.

I tuned in a handful of times and one of them was when the Michigan State player picked up a punt in the endzone and then ran it out only to be tackled at the two yard line. But the refs moved the ball to the 25 yard line even though replay showed the player never put his knee down in the endzone. So they gifted Michigan State 23 yards. Even the announcers, on the replay, said it was clear he never put his knee down.

Stuff like that can change the outcome of games, and it's one of the reasons I rarely watch any football (pro or college) anymore.

The player signaled fair catch before he muffed the catch. Once he recovered the muff in the endzone, the play was dead and it was a touchback.

I never saw the fair catch signal. And if he did, why did he run with it?

Tim is right. The initial replays didn't show it, but they brought the rules 'expert' in and showed a different angle. He explained that since he signaled for a fair catch (and he clearly did) the fact that he got control of it in the EZ made it officially a dead ball. It didn't matter that he lost his mind and tried to run it out.

Ummmm, not sure I agree with 'both' but it's cool. I know that if they called the Gophers for PI, and you can clearly see him pulling his T-shirt, and then decide "nah, nothing to see here" about 2 minutes after the fact....I'd be livid.

Fair enough. I turned the channel after seeing what I thought was a blantant gift to Michigan State, so I didn't see the further review. Thanks for the clarification.

I can't complain about that call when the refs let far worse go all game long. Earlier in the game Brockington jumped for a ball in the endzone where the defender wrapped both his arms up from behind before the ball got there with no call. On the OT play, you could the shirt come out a little, but it didn't impede the receiver in any way. Sure things are amplified in OT, but in the end they stayed consistent with how they were calling things.

I would have been fine either way. But they called it PI in real time. I find it hard to overturn stuff like that. That's all I'm saying. Whether or not it benefits us. I hate that sort of thing.

Oh they clusterf***ed it to be sure. I was surprised when they called the PI in the first place. I was even more surprised when they blew the whistle at the last second to change the call. Just another Saturday in Big Ten officiating.
