If Drake Lindsey is a 1st or 2nd round draft pick, so is Mitch Leidner.

The question always is when.....beginning of the year or end of the year......Leidner was the beginning of the year after his best season.

When I finally take over the #1 QB job, first play from scrimmage, I'm going to role to whatever side of the field Iowa is on and throw a 90 MPH ball at Kirk Ferentz's face. That is all.

A good weekend for the Gophers. The hockey team swept #3 UND and now the football team beats Iowa and keeps Floyd.

For the first time since 1978, Minnesota holds possession of all three of their long-time rivalry trophies. After beating Iowa 13-10 at home, the Gophers now hold on to Floyd of Rosedale, The Little Brown Jug and Paul Bunyan’s Axe.

Gophers hit a 60 yard FG with 19 seconds left to take a 16-13 lead.

Kickoff. Touchback.

Indiana hits a 33 yard pass against the prevent. Then hits their own 60 yard FG to send it to overtime...

Gophers let a golden opportunity to make a mark on the season slip away. And if they win, they’re playing UCLA next week for first place in the Big 10.

But the schedule is tough the rest of the way. This was arguably the toughest. If they won it, even if they would have slipped to another 6 or 7 win crap bowl game the rest of way, a distinct possibility, bowl selection committees could at least say hey they’re the team that knocked off Indiana. It would have elevated their image a bit.

That's always a problem with prevent strategy.

QB has enough time to make a decent throw.
