People say 7 players in double figures but expand it out past the arbitrary 10 mark, two players had 9 points.

That’s 9 players with 9+ points. For a total of just 115.

Best starting guard combo in the NBA.

Might be best starting five. Kuminga has played so well.

Also the backup to Grady announcing the game is very good with Peterson.

LaMelo Ball acts the clown, but he's an absolute killer on the court.

He was limited by bullshit foul calls all night (and then there was no need for him to play in the 4th), but he was incredible when he was on the floor.

17 minutes, and the team was +33 during that span. He had 15 points (on 5—for-8 shooting, 4—for-5 from three-point range) and eight assists and the team shot 22/29 from the floor in Ball’s 17 minutes.

He's also been absolutely busting his ass on defense. So much so that his own brother live tweeted during a game that he's never seen LaMelo play like that before.

Ant Man is having knee surgery. Out for 2-3 months. Why wasn't this done in the offseason?

They must have thought the 2 months off over the summer was going to take care of it, obviously it did not.

The wolves have an excellent medical staff. If this is what it takes to get Ant healthy might as well do it at the beginning of the season rather than find out it is an issue towards the end.

We can stay afloat.

Jon K:

So here's what I have:
- Ant was feeling really good after resting his knees in the summer.
- Camp went well. Then he tweaked it in Miami. MRI revealed need for a cleanup.
- Doing it now gets him back likely in Jan. He believes Wolves can contend for the title when he returns.

I honestly don’t think this changes much. Let’s say the Wolves go .500 in Ant’s absence. They probably can do better, but I’m being conservative. Then he comes back in January and they’re great for the rest of the season. That’s good enough to make the playoffs, just at a lower seed. The road in the West is still going through OKC and/or San Antonio anyway. So who cares? It may cost them home court, that’s the biggest thing. But that’s not hard to overcome.

Some athletes prefer not to have surgery unless totally needed because it still is going under the knife.

Here's Tim Connelly addressing the media this morning on Anthony Edwards' knee injury.

- Will have an arthroscopic procedure in the next 24 hours
- Not a meniscus injury; just an arthroscopic clean up of his knee
- The most recent imaging of the knee changed after the game in Cleveland on Monday -- different than the imaging they took in last season's playoffs and different than even a month ago.
- Edwards wants to play tonight, but this is what's best for his long-term health
- No timeline set for recovery until after the procedure. Don't think it will be something that costs him the season
- Connelly says Edwards should be good as new after recovery. This is not something they're concerned with long-term.

From ESPN - Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards underwent a "successful" arthroscopic procedure on his ailing right knee at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, on Thursday, the team announced.

Edwards had a debridement procedure performed on his knee, which is a minimally invasive measure used to clean, smooth or remove damaged cartilage, bone spurs or loose joint fragments from the knee joint to relieve pain and improve mobility, according to the Mayo Clinic.

2 day late comment. Melo’s best game with Wolves so far. 34 points. That’s what we’ll need more of with Edwards out. More carrying the team Melo. Less 4 fouls in 6 minutes Melo.

Tough matchup tonight, Houston is looking very good.

Hope his wrist doesn't get worse.....
