Collin Kaepernick's Nike commercial is pretty dang awesome.

Love it. I'll never understand how someone could love America and hate Colin Kaepernick.

Its crazy. He's literally doing what our country was founded on.

Nailed it. Where would our country be without nonviolent protest?

This thread made me look up the commercial. They nailed it.

Guaranteed Kaepernick will be viewed in a much more favorable light in a few decades. White America hates justice movements in real time.

Shaun King:
It's genuinely baffling to see people who love Muhammad Ali but hate Colin Kaepernick.

Or how people hate Black Lives Matter but quote Dr. King and call him their hero.

At the peak of their protests, both men were widely hated by millions of Americans.

Slave labor? Huh? I missed that completely.

Two things:
* Some people are so self-absorbed that they think everything is about them.
* There are such people both in the White House (Nimrod in Chief) and on this thread (Chief Nimrod, apparently).

LOL Bigo. There definitely was that. However, I have incredibly high regard for our founding fathers. Regarding slavery they just lived in a time where very few people knew any better.

I don't think Donald Trump is reading this thread. I think the Nimrod comment was directed at me. Also if you admire Kaep standing for what he believes in then you should appreciate me standing for my belief.

Ian I'm saying most of the world didn't realize that slavery was wrong. I wasn't there and I don't know this for a fact, but that is the way I understand it.

Thomas Jefferson knew it was wrong. He just couldn't afford to free his slaves. Lazy intellectually .

If he really knew it was wrong and didn't do the right thing he is to be despised more than those who didn't know it was wrong.

No doubt and great point.

Do you think people have an epiphany when they get older or are just self-deluded hypocrites or just kick the bucket allowing for the next generation to help society evolve?

kgdabom -> RE: Other NFL News (9/6/2018 8:46:48 PM)

Now back to football. Either great D or really bad offense so far in this game.

France abolished slavery in 1794. Just stop.

At least the one on the thread is mostly harmless...

I was (obviously) referring to the idiot in the White House that fanned the flames of something that most people weren't even aware of until he got his Twitters in a bunch.

My guess is they eventually end up liking the results, but can't stand (or even understand) the process while its happening.

Then you understand nothing. These slave owner cocksuckers KNEW that shit was wrong. They didn't view black people as humans and even treated animals better than them.

And they rationalized their actions by trying to show how black folks were intellectually inferior or were genetically best suited to be the help. So you're saying all of that was out of ignorance, where once Lincoln signed the EP, they all realized they were ****ed up?

What's next, slave owners owned slaves becuz their friends were doing it too? Please quit while you're behind. Dont insult me or as anyone else any more. I'm begging you.

Martin Luther King Jr. was not a perfect person by any means. However, I always respected him. I didn't respect Louis Farakhan ever or Malcolm X until he had his epiphany. I won't respect Kaep either until he has his epiphany.

Ian you always say I'm behind when I don't agree with the outspoken members. I'm just standing for what I believe in. If you think all of our founding fathers should be despised for being slave owners that is your right. I greatly admire our founding fathers for the amazing stand and risks they took.
The slave owning part was just that they were a product of their times.

I went to a historically black college that is built on a former plantation. I've been exposed to shit you never would believe existed. My great grandmother's parents were slaves and I've heard stories. Dont ever ****in talk to me about not being there, EVER.

YOU weren't there and have no earthly ****ing clue about the bullshit coming out of your mouth and how absolutely insulting you're being to me, my family, heritage and anyone else if color (if not humans in general). Do everybody a favor and shut your mouth.
