If the Vikings beat Arizona and Washington I think they have it wrapped up.

If they stub their toe, the Packers might still have something to say.

Arizona and Washington are definitely beatable. It would be awesome to win both, but we can't count on it.

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (10/24/2022 1:17:37 PM)

With Buffalo, Det and Philly on the road, Dallas and Tennessee at home, the Puke could lose 8 in a row.

I just don't want them winning at Buffalo, with a player saying "Everybody was counting us out, and now we're back". And then they're instantly thought of a as a contender.

I would rather they lost to Buffalo, and then have a player saying "We're just not a very good team".

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (10/24/2022 1:19:20 PM)

I don't like Arizona getting Hopkins back, thankfully the game is a home game for the Vikes.

Vikes can't take Arizona lightly, keep focused on details, don't let Murray beat you. A fast start is needed.

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (10/25/2022 1:53:51 AM)

Bears over the Patriots ?

Is it inevitable the Pack goes into Buffalo and wins ?

I think the only way that doesn't happen, is if I go down to Iowa and put some money on the Puke 🤮

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (10/25/2022 7:31:57 AM)

It seems like Zappe is already a better QB than Jones, but still too early to tell.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: Other NFL News (10/25/2022 7:09:12 PM)

So I temporarily unblocked the resident packer fan yesterday and ran square into this:

I don't want to say what I think is wrong with them, don't want to send messages out to the universe, and then hear about them fixing those things.

Oh. My. God.

Mods? Psyche Ward authorities?

Needless to say it was right back to block.

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (10/25/2022 8:54:15 PM)

Thanks for going back to block Bill, you accomplish exactly nothing trying to knock my posts.

Just seek therapy, you really seem to need it.

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (10/25/2022 9:56:00 PM)

Life is better, and the board is better, when you're not trolling my posts Bill.

You don't feel good about yourself, seek counseling.

(Frank) Clark in September pleaded no contest in Los Angeles to two counts of misdemeanor possession of an assault weapon and was sentenced to one year of probation and 40 hours of community service.

Clark was arrested in Los Angeles in March 2021, when he was pulled over while riding with another man in a vehicle that did not have a license plate. An officer noticed a weapon in the car and recovered two loaded firearms.

Let's cruise with loaded firearms in your car with no plates.... what could possibly go wrong!

Good first half for the Bills, hopefully they keep it up.

Impressive in how they attacked with just a minute, wanted to get a TD.

Right now it's hard imagining the Vikings even giving them a game.

My imagination, must be a heck of a lot better than your's, because it's easy for me to imagine us not only giving them a game, but beating them.

kgdabom -> RE: Other NFL News (10/30/2022 9:24:44 PM)

Puke and Bills trading FGs in the second half. Bills maintaining a 17 point lead.

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (10/30/2022 10:03:24 PM)

Now only a 10 point game with over 6 minutes left.

So unfortunate Allen threw the pick so close to the end zone. Had Allen gotten them a TD, it would have been a 24 point lead for the Bills with 10 minutes left, maybe Rodgers gets pulled.

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (10/30/2022 10:30:55 PM)

The way the game started, it looked like the Bills might be off to a 51-0 win.

I just hope the Vikings can stay competitive with the Bills.

Unfortunately, this game will keep the Pack thinking they clean up a few things, they're a Super Bowl contender in the weak NFC.

I would like to see the Pack be dead, they're not dead until they're eliminated.

I agree. I thought similarly about the first half.

Then, and this is a stretch but it is GB, they were a bad snap fg and an onside kick away from an opportunity to tie the game.

Maybe we shouldn't be surprised if we knock 'em off. Just competitive? What happen to all your optimism, Marty?

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (10/31/2022 10:33:56 AM)

I am optimistic, the Bills just looked so impressive, that they could beat you in so many different ways, on both sides of the ball. A strong pass rush without blitzing.

But the Vikings are ascending, and it will be a nice shot in the arm if they can at least stay competitive with Buffalo at Buffalo.

A competitive loss to Buffalo would probably do more for our image than some of the wins we've been getting. However, I'm not into moral victories. First let's beat the Football Team in Washington (that's a better name than the one they have now). After that it's Viking's vs Buffalo and I say Bring it On Bitch.

Todd M -> RE: Other NFL News (10/31/2022 6:23:30 PM)

No one here with any thoughts on that travesty in Atlanta?

I hated the taking off your helmet penalty. It's not called uniformly and in this case it was also called incorrectly.

Ricky J -> RE: Other NFL News (10/31/2022 6:41:09 PM)

Explain incorrectly, please?
I shake my head at people that are so physically talented they can make millions off of it but not smart enough to follow the rules, dumb as they may be, when it can hurt them or others. In this case the entire fan base suffers 'cause he's stupid - unless I'm missing something here

Ricky J -> RE: Other NFL News (10/31/2022 6:42:06 PM)

dp - not a delete ;/

Todd M -> RE: Other NFL News (10/31/2022 6:45:49 PM)

Helmet wasn't coming off in the field of play.

And it's not even enforced a lot of times.

Ricky J -> RE: Other NFL News (10/31/2022 6:46:42 PM)

@TonyDungy
Our NBC rules analyst Terry McAulay says according to the written rule this should not have been called a penalty because Moore was not on the field when he took off his helmet.

Ricky J -> RE: Other NFL News (10/31/2022 6:50:22 PM)

That said, be hard to convince me he was taking it off thinking, "well, this isn't a penalty so 'f' em!'"

marty -> RE: Other NFL News (10/31/2022 10:55:56 PM)

There were several calls early in the Arizona game that had me wondering if they were 'swaying' it so it was likely Arizona would cover the spread.

But plenty of calls later went the Vikings way, sort of evened out. I think it was just a tightly called game.

Here is an article about the early call on Bradbury, after a huge gain by Dalvin Cook:
