ORIGINAL: Bill Jandro One thing I wouldn't be surprised regarding the starting 5 oline would be: Reiff Kline Bradbury Samia O'Neal Elf was bad last year and by no means should be penciled in as a starter unless he proves worthy. Samia seems like the type of guy that you can't keep out of the line up. The "nasty" he and Bradbury can bring is something this unit desperately needs. I completely agree. I hope Kline is at least better than Elflein was last year. One not so great possibility is that both Elflein and Kline are no better than they were last year. One problem for Elflein is that he is rather undersized for a guard. He would have to go against one of those Bear DT's. I know we will scheme for that, but will he hold up to a nose tackle on running plays or an athletic 3 tech on passing downs? I feel confident that Kubiak will ensure that the best group is out there. Last year, that didn't always seem to be the case, though maybe none of the second unit was any better than the starters. Given that they realize how awful the G-C-G combo of Compton-Elflein-Remmers was (they've replaced them all), it would have been useful to see one of the backups in there last year. They did re-sign Brett Jones, after all, so he must have some ability. Dora was the first off the bench and seemed over matched as well. Jones didn't appear to be horrible the first 3 games at C. I know that isn't much of an endorsement.
