Charlie Campbell, senior draft analyst with WalterFootball.com has Ford as the number one ranked guard in the upcoming draft class. That’s pretty interesting considering his one healthy year he’s played at right tackle, not guard. ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. has him ranked third. Again, just to wrap things up, I think he would be a good fit considering he can play both the guard and the tackle position. I’d rather take someone who can be versatile, as opposed to someone who will be stationary at one position. Oh, and based off this lil’ clip, he’s not afraid to be physical by any means. If you’re a big follower of college or Sooner football, let me know you’re thoughts of him down in the comments...daily norseman I don't know about Ford. 'different vibe'...'rediscover nasty'.... zimmer asked his defense to play his brand of 'prevent' one too many times - and finally, against new orleans last postseason, he lost them...nasty is psychologic - you can't just turn it on and off like flicking a switch.... you can't take the best defense in the league and ask them to go soft the final quarter of almost every game...when the game became close and they had to reach back to find their nasty - there was nothing there...they had lost their nasty momentum - and have only been able to gather it up sporadically over the last year.... the first thing that zimmer has to do is to stand in front of his team and announce that he will never ask them to stand down again...never ask them to lie back and give an offense the underneath stuff...never rush the quarterback with only three defenders...they will hit their opponents hard - including the quarterbacks....

Thanks Dan, fun to watch. So many of those highlights were Cunningham hitting him deep, and Brady. I think few QBs would have gotten more out of him, maybe Peyton Manning in his prime. Aikmann or Moon in their prime, Favre or Rodgers, Elway or Marino, Ruthlessburger, ???

No more old guys. I want an innovative young guy for my next coach. I agree with you Dave, that that would be the BEST option. I just don't know of any. Any you have in mind ? I see it as: A) Young, innovative coach B) A head coach who has won a SB C) Zimmer D) A head coach that likely sucks. I would like to be done with C, attempting either B or A.

Eric Ebron is exactly what we needed as a key piece this season should have looked there rather than the wasted space on George Iloka who was for some reason never used...

Luck was sometimes clutch and beat bad teams in the past, now that he has a good head coach, the sky is the limit for this team. The Texans look like the Vikings in the playoffs, ill prepared and outcoached

Ebron hadnt shown much of anything in our division for Kitties but I really thought he would be a nice piece to take a flier on for the Vikes, is a real point of need... Ninkovich again in 2012 (8.0). Andre Carter and Mark Anderson in 2011 had 10 each (who?). Mike Wright in 2010 with 5.5 (seriously, never heard of him). In 2009 it was Tully Banta-Cain (10.0). All good football players I'm sure, but not exactly household names. Trey Flowers has led the Patriots for the last three seasons in sacks. He has a base salary of $1.9-million. Conversely, next season, Everson Griffin will have a base salary of $10.9-million. Linval Joseph will have a base salary of $8.9-million next season. Sheldon Richardson earned $5.8-million this season. In other words, the Vikings are hemorrhaging money on the defensive front. The Texans are even more ridiculous. I noticed the Colts used 6 olineman on many plays. I seen we may have done this a few times this season on short yardage plays. But the Colts come out on 1st down with it and are just gashing Hou running the ball. Seems to me with our bad oline we should have done this more often in an effort to get the run game on track.

Dline 2019 Hunter 13.5ml Griffin 11.0ml 1.2 dead cap Joseph 10.7ml 3.6 dead cap I can't see bringing Richardson back on a big long term contract. We're already paying big money to Smith, Rhode,s Kendricks, and Waynes 5th year option. I would cut Griffin and roll with the young guys. I'd consider cutting joseph as well. Need to redirect some money to the oline and modern day TE
