Pretty sure we all knew he'd disappoint there in time, too.
Think we mentioned he'd have some immediate bump from playing with Crosby.
But every hockey player on the planet would get the same bump.
Once they start thinking he is the guy, they'll find out what they have.
He's no Guentzel, hell he's not even a DuPuis.

I don't think Zucker is as good as Galenychuk. They should have tried and sniped Donato.

Whoopee Zucker can skate fast....Lets get rid of Haula, Tuch, and sign him.

Crazy how this comes down to the last day of season every year
Feels like 10 teams fighting for 2 spots
We HAVE to get out of that cycle (to the positive side) at some point.
Please.
EVERY night from here out will feel like sudden death playoffs
Just have to stop putting ourselves in this mess.
Especially now that we have one goalie.

I'm still not buying it. Sure we have a few bright spots, but most of your anchors are still under NTC contracts. Until we get out from under them we aren't going far. This group is good at making a good run and playing great hockey for a short stretch.....it's the long haul that gets them every time.

hardest part of this is watching the other teams we are lumped with …. keep winning nightly
Jets took it to the Oil last night
We've now had 4 off nights to watch others retake us.
Oh, and somehow,, that "games in hand" bullshit that LaPanta always brings up?
As invisible now as it was all year when he was bragging about it.
And another thing …
Parise's rebirth ….. not really cool, right? I mean, is he now mad, or motivated, or what? And why now? Hmmm.
I think those questions answer themselves.

Out biggest two problems the last few years.....Goaltending and a sniper. We have had both for only half a year this year.....just wait till we get our second true sniper.

I think you can work around the other factors as Fiala and the Russian Kid are on cheap contracts plus Mikko will be gone (plus other cap room made with Zucker trade).

Somehow I think Guerin finds a way to move Parise this summer. His improved play of late is his audition for contending teams.
If we can rid ourselves of his contract we can live Suter's. Despite my bitching about Suter, he is still a top d-man and will be for at least a few more years the way he plays.

I don't think that is going to be the problem either way. They won't be in cap hell as they have one more year of Dubes and a trade of Dumba or Brodin to get their #1 center plus Mikko gone. I think Staal might be the offensive player on the move plus they have some guys near ready in the minors for trade.

Another big deal is that Stalock is signed for so cheap and is playing really well for his contract #.

A cheap one who wants to stay here
Best news is Koivu is moving on
Its great to see him in the OT with the towel on … we've finally figured out he's done.
Give him the gold watch and fill that spot with a fresh young stud
