Mom was a season ticket holder and was killed in a car accident in FL 3 years ago, never seeing a SB title. I wanted it SO badly for her. (BTW, it was great seeing the brief montage of Bud Grant prior to the SF game...so good to know the man still wants that title!) So yeah, I"m pulling back some too. Lastly, and until all the planets, moon, and stars align for us...…………...SKOL!

The ratio of “Vikings suck, player ‘x’ sucks, coach ‘x’ sucks, play calling ‘x’ sucks, game plan ‘x’ sucks “, etc... ad nauseas, far outweighs rational debate about players, coaches and game plan approaches that are well thought out and based on a real grasp of cost, salary, age, availability, and the fact that the talent pool , although quite expansive across all of the football “ minor leagues “ is very broad and has depth, there are not 1,696 all pro players, 32 “ perfect” head coaches, 64 starting or quality level Quarterbacks, or for that matter, a “perfect formula” for winning.

Every franchise has to find its way..
Luck and league favoritism is a real thing.
The NFL is a HUGE entertainment money making circus, owned and controlled by billionaire owners and corporate executives, sponsors, and media companies.

It is pure and simple, a cash cow.

We, as fans, control nothing, but the amount of money and anguish and devotion we invest in our choosen favorite.

I may very well die, before the Vikings ever win it all and hoist the Lombardi Trophy in long-standing, righteous vindication.

That FACT, will not change my love of the game, this team, or like minded fans who bleed purple, chant “SKOL”, and have a party before during and after all wins and losses.

Ya Whiners , bitchy, cant stand to not get your way, wannabes, can go take a flying finger Fuq at a rolling donut hole.

As many have stated, it is clear the the OL was the weak link. It has improved, and is, IMHO, average. But to win a championship, OL needs to be great. The game is still won at the LOS. Elf struggled and needs to improve or be benched as a super-sub. Draft more talent. Restructure Reiff or gone.

Cousins is not going anywhere. I don't think he is "elite", but don't loathe him like others do. There aren't better alternatives and we can win with him.

This team is not some grease fire. They went into NO and beat one of the hottest teams in the NFL - and it was no fluke win. Modest upgrade on the OL and we could have hung with anyone.


I also am not a fan of the NFL hype. Too much noise and wall-to-wall coverage. I don't like Thursday games, etc. Give me Sunday, and then MNF. And maybe some better announcers. Waaaaaaay too commercialized.

I would really love to the Vikes win a SB. I would be happy with just one. But I don't live and die with their fortunes any longer. The 2009 NFCCG was the turning point for me. I was so pissed at the NFL that I almost quit watching altogether. After the heartbreak of the 1998 NFCCG and being pissed about the 2009 season, I kinda moved on a little bit. I'm bummed when they lose, but there is no lingering hangover. Don't know if that makes me less of a fan, but oh well. Everyone I know knows I bleed purple.

I know it's good sportsmanship, etc. but all of the opposing team love after the game bugs me a bit, too. Kinda old school and maybe shitty, but I'm not gonna go hug some Bears or Packers after losing to them. They (the players) CERTAINLY have more invested with their efforts, careers, etc. but sometimes it seems like the fans take some of the losses harder than them. It's weird to be sitting there, kicked in the gut, watching our guys yuck it up with Pukers after a loss. I know what is what they do now, exchange jerseys and all that, just not my thing. **** 'em. LOL.

Anyhow, I will be watching next season and will be on here in the meantime talking draft and FA. Not going to give up on my Vikes. SKOL!!

The biggest interest I have left is hoping the 49ers smoke past the Packers. GB has been resurgent this season but I think they cannot keep pace with a much quicker San Fran team
