ORIGINAL: Ragnarök MUST WIN - Monkey OFF BACK Game! Sunday will be a prime time National game of the week in the spotlight. Cousins’ record in primetime games is 5-13 Kirk is 4-26 against winning teams. Cousins is 36-39-2 in his career as a starter. On the road he’s 13-23-2. Since 2010, the Bears are 15-4 against the Vikings at Soldier Field Once again, those records are not all on Cousins. Until last year, he played for one of the perpetually shittiest organizations in football. There 10 other starters on offense, 11 other starters defense and special teams. This argument that the record is all on Cousins is ridiculous. At some point though the numbers must reflect the player... From Pro Football Reference here are the players who's career deep stats most match the career of Kirk Cousins. Career Colin Kaepernick, Derek Carr, Scott Mitchell, Mark Rypien, Chad Pennington, Jameis Winston, Blake Bortles, David Carr, Stan Humphries, Marcus Mariota It is true that some of those players numbers are poor because they played on poor teams, BUT good QBs find a way to elevate their team as well and overall their career stats will bear such. Gross oversimplification. Good QB's do not elevated their teams over horseshit defenses and lack of a running game. People who look at the Pats and think it's just Brady elevating everyone else, grossly underestimate how good the teams around Brady have always been. The its all teams overall talent and coaching argument huh? Brady and Cousins are on same level as QB talent... Im buying that... all day... So you are saying that switching out Brady for Kirk last year in the final game against the Bears would have made no difference? A win and you are in playoffs situation where the Bears had nothing to play for except pride.... Our teams talent evaluation and coaching must be very suspect then to not be getting most out of career of Kirk Cousins! Sure glad we are not wasting THE GOAT Tom Brady and his career on this team... Kind of you to exemplify his point about gross oversimplification..... Nobody is arguing Kirk has been just fine in his 19 games here. Stop using BS data that distorts and does little to illuminate your points, which you have made ad nauseum. The BS data says exactly what it does... Cousins is 36-39-2 in his career as a starter. To this point in his career Kirk Cousins is a slightly below average QB, teams he plays on finish on average just below 500... What did he get us in 2018 again? Now Kirk is on a pitch count in a run heavy system to try and change the narrative... HE IS WHAT HE IS...
