I'm not sure that Rudolph is even our second best TE right now, much less our best.

Quiet on Twitter for me. This is all I found:

Matt Birk on KFAN said the 2019 #Vikings have a lot of big names, but they need their star players to step up and have their best games when it matters most.

(Sean Borman on Twitter)

Well, by that reasoning almost everybody on offense except Cook needs to step up, not just Rudolph.

The passing game has to get better, in better balance with the running game. Even when we are running over people ... well, around people.

Play calling and Cousins have to be better – we can not wait to improve our passing issues until somebody is stuffing our run game.

Basically he is calling out Cousins as nice as possible.

I like the question. I'm not sure if the Vikings will be able to stop Mack from doing what he does.

How about it being simply his hammy was hurt early in the year and it affected him against GB and he played better against Oakland.

He had three catches on three targets for fifteen yards vs. Oakland. He has six catches in three games. The team needs to utilize him more.

Oh...and PHI going for 2 there was dumb. Go for 1 and go up by 8.

Agree.

I know I'm fighting City Hall on this, but I'm in favor of getting rid of instant replay in general. I've never liked it. Make the refs call the penalty and make them accountable for their mistakes. The quality of the game will be better because the flow of the play will not be interrupted.

I don't know about just Kirk...
I think you could make a case for Kirk, Diggs and Rudy all needing to show up in games like the Packer game.

Have to agree Joe.

It's an Effed up mess at this point.

It kills momentum/flow/enjoyment and it could be argued that it's no more accurate if last night is any kind of gauge.

Completely disagree... risk/reward.
You make it and it's a 2 score game.
You fail and it's still TD+extra point.

Seems like a good payoff for minimal risk.

I have to agree.... the technologist in me says there isn't any F"ING REASON we can electronically(replays, sensors, etc...) get the calls right... but the execution has just been a miserable failure.

If it's going to suck and be wrong and least don't slow down the game.

The co dependent problem is they keep make rules that are more and more subjective.

PI, valid catch, fumble... it's so open to interpretation that now 2 people see it the same.
Sucks a lot of enjoyment out of the game.

Make the kick and it is still essentially a 2 score game. You force them to go for the 2 pt conversion to tie it.

5 starters not practicing for the Bears. Hope Hicks is not able to go. Nichols is out. Could be huge for us.

Kline out but Dozier seems to be doing ok.

Barr Full practice.

Zoilo -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/27/2019 1:26:51 PM)

Does anyone else think there has been a change in the way NFL games are televised? It seems to me that the camera views are being changed so often that it almost makes you dizzy. They used to have on main camera shot with replays from different views. Now they switch camera shots with no apparent reason and replays are show so quickly that you can barely keep track of who has the ball.
Maybe I am just getting old.
Is there ANYONE ELSE who thinks that the broadcast would be improved if they slowed down the camera changes?

Zoilo -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/27/2019 1:49:21 PM)

Did anyone else enjoy the last minute of Thursday night football? The Eagles really came through for us.

Bruce Johnson -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/27/2019 1:59:19 PM)

#Vikings CB Mike Hughes practiced all week without the brace on his surgically-repaired left knee, and that’s the plan Sunday in Chicago, he said. Hughes said he feels much more “explosive” in his movements without it.

The last minute... god no... it was killing me... another team going to let GB off the hook.

The last 20 seconds?
HECK YA!!!!!

Had to jump in..
Cousins?!? He's a joke..no leadership. No passion
It's painful to see him interact with teammates.

Yes. Would love for him to become human.. probably won't happen.

Seems like a good guy to me and all indications are he is great with his teammates.

Automatic review of turnovers, so it was reviewed. Game over.

True BUT... Was it just reviewed to confirm the TO or was it reviewed for pass interference? I personally do not believe there was PI.

Sandejo is a big hitter (of both teams playing) and is a servicable player.

I thinking saying he should be thrown out of football is a bit harsh. As long as he can make a roster he has every right to earn a living doing so. This is still America.

His propensity for helmet to helmet hits and then not understanding why he got penalized for it makes him a very dangerous player. Serviceable is a bit generous when describing Sendejo.

"Make Football Violent Again". [&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o]

Dude is clueless.

I think football should be made violent again. It's supposed to be tackle football. Not flag football or tackle gently football.

What's the point of being able to review PI calls if the officials won't overturn obvious missed calls?

And of course we got called for OPI on a review where they weren't even looking for it...

The reviews have become utter nonsense.

Perriera
At least admits when they get calls wrong now. Well, he tempers his statements with "IMO", but says coaches like consistency, even when review outcomes are obviously bad. Really?
I highly doubt that. What a farce!

He also said Rogers "gave himself up when he dove forward" What?

Glad that pick wasn't called DI, sure looked like DB was early!
In Green Bay? That was shocking!!
Karma Baby!!

That is the rule now. Slide or dive, QB is giving himself up in that situation.

Problem is if he's diving forward he is going for additional yardage. The Defense has to have the right to stop his forward progress unless he is considered down wherever he starts the dive. He can't be given the forward progress or extension if the D isn't allowed to tackle him.

Consider me enlightened, well, only on that rule. [;)]

So does that mean on a qb sneak the qb can dive over and you technically can't hit him? These dumb rules are getting out of hand

Exactly! The QB is not giving himself up if he is going for additional yardage. If he is considered to be giving himself up he only should get the distance where he started the dive and not where he ends it.
