By the way I really liked the trade today. Nobody got taken to the woodshed. Fair deal all the way around. Good on ya Steve. I too am a retired vet who has no problem with peaceful protests nor Kapernick kneeling. I certainly don't see kneeling as an affront to military people who have fought and died. It's too bad people stretched that into their opinions. In fact, didn't they fight for the freedom to do so?

Seems the RUBY BRIDGES pic stirred some emotions. Guess I shouldn't have expected those same people to address how bad people behaved then, and how the same animosity carries forward to now. Instead we get a steady diet of how dare that be brought up and Kap is a meanie.

Plus, these people are employees. Most people cannot go into your work and wear a highly political shirt or pin or whatever. They are employees, not protesters. They can protest or wear political shirts literally every day of the year, but they have to wear their uniforms and play football on Sunday at Noon. And if the NFL wanted to, they could require they stand for the Anthem or not choose to be present. There is no First Amendment right to protest at your workplace. You can strike and protest outside if you would like but you will not get paid. Protest where no one can see you? We get it. You only want change if its easy and doesn't get in your way.
