If #Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph (foot) can't play Sunday at Tampa Bay, it would end his streak of having played in 93 straight regular-season games (he also has five playoff games in there). He last missed a game Dec. 21, 2014 at Miami. (Chris Tomasson on Twitter)

I heard that Brady doesn't have much of an arm anymore. He still has his quick release, which is why he is still in the league. I suppose that if he gets rid of the ball so quickly then it doesn't work to have a great pass rush. The corners should play closer to the line and jump routes. I suppose Brady will make them pay for that, though. I was reading that having good velocity on throwing footballs is "generated from the lower body" and that good footwork and hip rotation have as much to do with it as actual arm strength. Anyway, accuracy has to be just as important, or more important than arm strength and Brady does seem to put the ball where the receiver can catch it. He throws a "catchable ball".

He looks for opportunistic places within the stats to find a sweet spot that casts the Vikings or particular players for the Vikings in the best possible light. If we use 40 yard plays instead of 50 yard plays the story suddenly looks different.

Is it bad to present some surprising stats that shed light on a Vikings player or the Vikings team in a positive manner when most of us are struggling with disappointment? Or do most of us come here to find new reasons to be angry about how bad the team is doing?

I might further ask, why do you feel the need to see stats manipulated to feel good? There's only the truth and the choice is yours as to whether you feel good about it or not.

The stats are not manipulated. You are portraying as darkness which is light. In your example, saying four out of five dentists recommend the chewing gum is deceitful. Granted. There is no deceitfulness with these stats. They are intended to share something interesting and even a reason to appreciate my team a little more. That is a good thing- not a bad. But if you see it as bad, go ahead and block me. I wouldn't want you to feel manipulated.

Best way to win this game is with pressure up the middle. Brady needs a clean pocket even more so than Cousins. If he has to move around in the pocket and has to throw off his back foot he can't get the zip he needs on his throws. TB oline is similar to ours in that they are weak up the middle. On offense we need to throw first to loosen them up so we can run a bit. If we try to establish the run first (against the #1 rushing d) we could be in for a long afternoon and even worse get Cook dinged up by running him into a pile of humanity over and over.

Maybe our blitzes should be up the middle too. Time to bring the triple A gap blitz back using Smith too. I just hope Zim brings it early vs sitting bacK with a standard pass rush the first half. Cousins needs to bring his A game as well. GB game got flexed to the late afternoon game so I'm happy the vikes will be on in my area.
