I love it.

Let's get the #1 seed this year.

Bruce Johnson -> RE: General Vikes Talk (3/31/2020 5:15:00 PM)

Fran Tarkenton sent a message to Kirk Cousins via KFAN:

“Kirk, if you’re listening to this program... Go out there & run more. Buy more time. Give your receivers some time to go because today, being a pocket quarterback only is almost impossible.”

Makes me feel old.

Ed Marinaro, who became a much better actor than a #Vikings running back, turns 70 today.

BREAKING: The Vikings are trading Anthony Harris and 3rd round pick to the Patriots for Joe Thuney and a 2nd round pick.

Gotta get the April Fools day tweet out of the way. Have a great night.

The Vikings have not been shutout at home since October 7, 1962.

Nice little 57-year streak going.

Bisi Johnson has some good qualities, but some limitations. I see him as a third receiver, or even a fourth receiver, but perhaps as is pointed out here he can build upon his rookie season.

Good article here, too. Ludford is the best Vikings writer. (I know I said that before.)

He's not a big YAC guy but seems to know how to get open.

If we can find a speed guy(Ruggs, Reagor, Hamler, Mims) in the draft, Theilen, Sharpe, Johnson will get more open looks.

Love that one of the significant factors in favor of Hill is that the NFL no longer suspends for marijuana use. [&o]

Now all he has to do is stay away from the PED's.

Compare his sacks to the guys on this list. When he got there he sealed the deal.

You make a really good point. Nevertheless,. I think there is value to disrupting a play with a pressure. Sometimes an interception is the result.

Hunter is well rounded. Plays run and pass well.

Check out his tackle numbers compared to the top pressure guys. Probably 20 more tackles on the average.

Getting pressures is good of course, but a lot of TD passes have been thrown when the QB was pressured. Nothing good has ever happened for the Offense when a QB is sacked. [:D]

They must have a different definition of a pressure (Pro Football Focus vs Pro Football Reference).

Danielle Hunter QB pressures
71 — According to Pro Football Focus, Danielle Hunter leads the NFL with 71 total quarterback pressures. The defensive end is on pace for 100-plus pressures in 2019 and become only the third player to achieve that feat since 2006 (Tamba Hall in 2010, Von Miller in 2015).Nov 20, 2019

I hadn't thought of Udoh playing LG, but Ludford suggests it.

I've made some friends there at Twitter, but also enemies including a writer associated with the U of M. She took umbrage with what I thought was a rather harmless comment. Nothing beats this place when it is active, but that is an if sometimes.

I was beaten back a bit for penciling in Udoh at G. It was based on drafting a T then taking the leap to get his talent out there. The suggestion is he could dominate a LG.

I'm a Udoh fan. Get him out there.

But, have a good back up plan if he isn't ready.

I would be more concerned with Samia than Udoh. Unless he(Samia) got a lot stronger this off season.
