Give him a year with a good team and lets see how that plays out. I'd take Smith over Cousins. He's way tougher, mentally, and his teammates love him. I'm a fan of Darnold, he's had some horrible luck. Between the Jets being a terrible organization from him contracting mono, losing the entire oline last season, losing all of his receivers to start the year. Maybe he winds up with the 49ers. Smith has actually pushed the ball downfield a little more than in the past, I guess he's banked enough dough to start taking chances. Kirk stands in there more than check down Smith does. I'd take Darnold any day in Minnesota over Cousins.

I wouldn't. Can't complete 60% of his passes. Terrible yds per attempt. Six TD to 9 picks. It's like he has all of Cousins' negative stats without any of the positive ones.

It's all relative. When your #1 receiver is Jamison Crowder, your running back is Frank Gore and you're constantly playing from behind, your numbers are always going to look worse. Give that guy some talent around him and then compare the numbers. Until then, the numbers mean nothing. How do you think Cousins would look on the Jets with no Cook, Jefferson or Thielen to bail him out, and a worse offensive line? That's apples to apples. As I see it, Cousins does one thing well. He throws a nice deep ball. That's it. After that, the cupboards are bare.

besides Kansas city...who has a better wr and rb combo? and I not sold on Kansas city being better. Cook is best all around back in the league. JJ is incredible...And shades just makes plays Get OL solved, cousins will be here next year.

He's currently third in the league in fumbles lost among running backs.

IMO, Jones and Cook are very comparable. Cook is a bigger part of his offense so the numbers are always going to slant in his favor.

He just isn't very good.

Cousins has one chance of putting up great numbers..............an absolutely a clear pocket for 10 seconds. In today's game he's marginal, at-best.

Pure runner(make people miss): Cook Breaking tackles: Henry Speed: Cook(Henry breaks long runs because he's so hard to bring down) Receiver: Cook Blocker: Cook is good at picking up blitz, I'll assume Henry is too(at that size) Push Ball Security: Henry Conclusion: If they switched teams, Cook would have more success than Henry.

Saying that the Vikings have good run schemes is just nonsense. It's just straight up pound it between the tackles. The success of the Viking run game is predicated on Cook racking up yards after contact.

So If the rumors that Hunter wants to be the top paid DE in NFL are true, I'd be inclined to try and trade him for a top 5 draft pick (Dallas?) And take Wilson with the pick. Then best OL next (or move back a little and get 2 best Guards with the capital). Just dreaming. First we need to dump Spiels and Zimmer. Possibly another dream...

A healthy Stafford is as good as Kirk, IMO. But, he's never healthy. If I can't get Herbert, I'll keep Cousins for the remainder of his contract and try my luck in the draft.

Spiels isnt't going anywhere. They will point to Jefferson, Gladney, Dantzler and Cleveland being in the starting lineup with Wonum and Lynch making contributions and call it a successful draft, no matter how much better it could have been. I don't think Zim is going anywhere either. They will point to Pierce, Hunter, Kendricks, Barr, etc. being out and give him a pass.
