Maybe a memo went out after the Pacers game?

SGA has attempted 8 free throws total over the last 3 games. The last time he attempted 8 or fewer free throws across 3 consecutive games was March 2020.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: NBA Talk 2020 (11/16/2025 6:50:50 PM)

The NBA has manipulated games by calling (non) fouls on star players for about 45 years. Why would anyone think that will not increase? Star power, created by mere hoopla and falsely inflated stats, has powered the NBA. Soon gambling will be the preeminent factor. Until greed leads it to all crash down.

It used to be when there was a BS call, players would protest/plead and fans would boo. Now they barely even bother.

Because of the refs enforcing NBA policy rather than the rules of the game, the NBA is really not a legitimate sport. More 2/3 legit, 1/3 WWE.

OKC play the best defense in the league. They did last year and their even better so far this year.

TJSweens -> RE: NBA Talk 2020 (11/17/2025 1:29:41 PM)

OKC does an absolutely amazing job of getting away with blatant fouls while flopping and getting ticky tack calls. Caruso and Dort could be fouled out of just about any game.

Welcome to the NBA. McDaniels has a reputation as a good defender so he is allowed to hand check and arm bar guys up and down the court. If Dillingham tries that it is a foul.

It's a matter of degree. If McDaniels got away with what Caruso gets away with, he would be the lock down defender of all time.

Caruso the Laker and the Bull got no hate. Is there a league conspiracy to protect and elevate players for one of the smallest market teams in the league?

Wait until Camara lands in OKC, the hate will happen on him too.

David Levine -> RE: NBA Talk 2020 (11/21/2025 1:30:54 PM)

Luka and Reaves combined are averaging 22.3 free throw attempts per game.

That is as many or more than 4 NBA teams.

Lakers as a team shoot about 2 more FTs than Wolves. Do they get some calls? Yep. Luka gets alot of calls.

These numbers won't last either. Lakers have played about 6 or 7 games where it was only Luka or Reaves. When playing on their own, they have ball over 50% of time. The averages are high because of being only playmaker on team for multiple games.

Luka will continue with high FT numbers and Reaves will drop significantly with LBJ back.

Lakers also shoot less 3s than Wolves. Lakers are like 25th in 3 Point attempts.

Still mad that LBJ and his extortionist agent picked their guy Horton-Tucker over Caruso to stay with the Lakers.

Don't still me mad... right now Caruso is a 31 year old shooting 39% from the field.

OKC is still way better on both ends when Caruso is in the floor vs in the bench.

He’s one of those guys whose box score doesn’t tell the story of his impact.

Like I said, if McDaniels got away with what Caruso gets away with, he would be a generational defender.

Thunder win by 49!
This team is so freaking good. They are still getting better?
