I like Bane, but I don't think you're getting where you want clearing the cupboard for him.

Never would have thought the Buss family would part with the Lakers.

Bill Jandro -> RE: NBA Talk 2020 (6/20/2025 8:06:20 AM)

Ever since TC gave up 5 frp's for Gobert it has become normal business procedure for other role players as well.

Shams:

BREAKING: The Phoenix Suns are trading two-time NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in the 2025 draft and five second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.

Its amazing how little they gave up.

Green and Brooks were likely guys they wanted to get off of their contracts. Green just isn't good and Brooks is too much of a knucklehead for what he provides.

So they basically gave up the #10 in a mediocre draft and they kept all the youth they really wanted.

Suns still don't have a Center of Point Guard.

Series was a bit tougher than I thought it would be, but SGA got his Championship and of course the MVP!!

Worst MVP in years. Voter fatigue is the only reason Jokic didn't take it.

Agree. He’s a good player but not an MVP. I probably don’t dislike him as much as most non-OKC fans. His style isn’t aesthetically pleasing but he’s hardly the first superstar to hunt cheap foul calls.

He’s good, when he’s on he can be unstoppable at times. Top 15-ish player But not an MVP.

OKC led by SGA is going to be a PROBLEM for a few years.

Might be.

They have 1 more year before they have to pay Chet and Williams. And OKC has never been a team to overspend. They have a lot of draft picks, so they're going to have to hit on more studs to replace the guys they lose.

They're very good, but they got pushed to 7 by a mediocre Denver team and then by a good Indy team with just one actual star (who they lost for most of Game 7).

IMO there is a lot of parity at the top of the NBA. We haven't seen back to back champions in quite a few years. Doesn't change my opinion of OKC led by SGA being in the top mix for a few years. I'm not an OKC fan, but do believe SGA is one of the top 3 players in the NBA and we have not seen his best yet.

Are thery going to invent a rule that no one can get within 6 feet of him? Maybe make his FTs worth 2 points each?
