Just more proof in my pro/ con column that Cousins is an Albatross around the franchise neck… How? Who weren't we able to sign this year? There still is money for an Olineman or a better 2nd QB; they have put almost all FA$$$ toward the Defense. Next year is the cap crippler regarding Cousins @ 45ml. They kicked the can down the road so they had some cap room but next year is without a doubt an albatross. I think this year is his last with the Vikings. We can't continue on with him and his outrageous contract.

Their QB, does not force the OL to hold blocks for extended times because they scan and release or throw to spots on timing, quickly. I swear, watching Our passing offense is cringeworthy, every… single.. time… I can lose my voice over the course of a game.. screaming.. THROW IT.. FN THROW IT…GD IT THROW THE DAMN THING ALREADY.. nope.. sack..or late, almost picked, contested throw, or circus, catch Watching Zimmer’s offense try to execute a hurry up or Long yardage offense is so frustrating.. You do get that our IOL, last year, was one of the worst at giving its QB time to throw. Cousins holds it too long from time to time (and often at bad times), but let's not pretend he consistently has ample time to throw if he would only just unload the damn ball.

In that same vein, Garrett Bradbury’s 5.1% pressure rate allowed ranked 34th out of 36 qualifying centers, and Dakota Dozier’s pressure rate allowed of 8.0% ranked 36th out of 39 qualifying left guards. None of their three starters on the interior cracked the top 32 at their respective position. If your pass protection is shitty, by all means.. take your Fn time,, stroll around a bit.. or in Cousins case, wander slowly around, looking for that perfectly safe throw… ya got all day, because, you know your so agile and elusive and nimble, with such outstanding field vision.. Gotta hit that 80% + completion mark… [&o] Yea I’m not in a positive frame of mind..

Edit: quicker release, evidently helps pass pro rating, and getting average pass pro or better is soo much easier if your QB can THROW THE DAMN BALL, ALREADY.. —————— 17. PITTSBURGH STEELERS The Steelers’ offensive line has been an interesting case this season. Going purely off pressure rate allowed, they’ve been the best pass-protecting unit in the NFL, with Ben Roethlisberger being pressured on a league-low 21% of his dropbacks this season. The important footnote there is that Roethlisberger is also getting rid of the football quicker than any quarterback we’ve charted since 2012 (2.17 seconds on average). The PFF grades are built to factor that in, however, and Pittsburgh’s offensive line still finished the regular season ranked fourth in pass-blocking grade. ———-

Rogers 2.71 Rodgers is an outlier because often times the officials let his line hold like crazy and he'll sit back there forever. Most times though he gets rid of it really quick.

That takes a little time compared to a predominately shotgun set. He also is great at throwing the deep ball, which can take some time. Not trying to get in the argument, just pointing out a couple of reasons the time could be longer.
