so we gave them 53 and a third and a 6th, but got 42 and a 4th rd pick...

not sure of numbers

Basically turned 34, 77, and 192 into Booth, 59, and 122. That is a massive W.

If you like Booth at 34, then it's basically 77 for 59 and 192 for 122. If you don't like that, there is no hope for you.

You could even say Hamilton, 46, 77, and 192 for Cine, Booth, 59, and 122. Comes down to the delta between Hamilton and Cine. If it's huge in favor of Hamilton, volume and move ups might not even out. But if it's close or Cine is better, the Vikings have made out huge so far.

No, introducing false narratives like Hamilton has nothing to do with the picks involved in a trade.

But if you must, last time I checked Cine was passed over by every team in the 1st except us. Hamilton wasn't.

Don't really get what is the false narrative you cite. Picks are only as good as the players you take with them, of course. If you want to do everything so far, it's:

12, 46, 77, and 192 for
32, 42, 59, 66, and 144

That looks like tons of value to me. As I tried to articulate, of course it matters who you end up with. I'm definitely sympathetic to picking premium players at premium positions (as I advocated before the draft), and we didn't get that it seems. But I was trying to point out the possibility that the difference between Hamilton and Cine might not be as dramatic as many think could make the deals even better for the Vikings.

I thought so too... against a 1st rounder no less...

Ingram was charged with some kind of sexual assault on two minors when he was 16. Charges were dropped. But he was vetted so...

"Value" lol. Of course the players matter. But not as part of the trade agreement. That is separate and don't get owned.

The trades in total might be a wash or a slight loss. Slight isn't that big a deal.

kgdabom -> RE: 2022 NFL draft (4/29/2022 8:35:18 PM)

What's wrong with Dean? He is matching Wills for undrafted status. I like Asamoah. Good with that.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: 2022 NFL draft (4/29/2022 8:35:42 PM)

Dye and Surratt are like, wait I am him!

TJSweens -> RE: 2022 NFL draft (4/29/2022 8:36:21 PM)

Asamoah's only 226 lbs. Most linebackers are at least 230 lbs.

We went that position and I think it is a position of need. No WR help for us from this draft.

Dana Turner -> RE: 2022 NFL draft (4/29/2022 8:37:01 PM)

Keep checking them box's. Asamoah is a very nice pick here, solid athlete!

Well, it's not. At least off Rich Hill's chart.

541 v 508. The 33 delta equates to the pick at the very top of the 4th.

That's the newer chart.

We didn't get good value on the trades, we lost but not by much. Pick 126 is the delta. So call it a wash.

We addressed needs, that's all we did.

Using my picks not bohumms:

12, 46, 77, 192 = 541
32, 42, 59, 66, 122 = 518

Bill Johanesen -> RE: 2022 NFL draft (4/29/2022 9:07:16 PM)

I hope Cine starts. Booth perhaps will be eased in but his injuries could adversely affect his progress.

The other two picks are just guys, a small G and small/fast LB. With the trash we have at G, Ingram SHOULD be in the mix but who knows.
