I appreciate it, DL!

You can't throw on The Duke.

His over the shoulder INT has cemented me as a fan.

Our journey to a sham/scam Super Bowl Title continues. For the record, I don't believe in any of the scam/sham talk nor do I think there's such a thing as a 'lucky' Super Bowl winner. I'm just running with the narrative for my own amusement. Anywho - here's how it will play out:

MN beats NYG by one score in come-from-behind-in-the-fourth-quarter fashion. Seattle beats San Fran. Tampa/Dallas game is irrelevant. MN gets winner of Tampa/Dallas at home and wins in same fashion as win vs NYG. Seattle beats Philly. MN beats Seattle at home in same fashion as previous two. Super Bowl win includes some type of fluky turnover that benefits the Vikes which is mostly what the media and fans of other teams talk about. Who cares? Super Bowl title! Major life dream accomplished!

I can't get over the number of game announcing pairs that insist on calling Rodgers Aaron all the time. But the other league QB's are last name guys.

Petty I know but I also hate the constant camera coverage of the jerk all game long. Further pisses me off.

Rant over[:D]

Rodgers hints at good bye….

The future Hall of Famer was asked by Lions rookie receiver Jameson Williams for his jersey after the game in Week 18 but answered with the words, “I’m gonna hold on to this one.”

A few moments later, Rodgers walked into the tunnel with his longtime companion Randall Cobb. They walked arm in arm, and the scene looked like the final moments of a movie.

Rodgers proceeded to fuel speculation at the end of the press conference with his words, “I’ll miss the guys. I’ll miss the fans. Yeah, thank you.”

He has hinted at it the last few years.....it wouldn't surprise me that he has kept his season ending jersey after each season.

Rodgers isn't going to trade a signed end of the year jersey with Williams.

Rodgers is angling to be trade IMO.

If he walks away from $50 million, he gets my respect but I think he is just trying to worm his way out.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: General Vikes Talk (1/9/2023 12:46:58 PM)

I'm so glad that lot had a pretty good season, all things considered. They shot their draft pick and still got kicked in the crotch by a division rival [&:]

Win/Win

I'm more worried about a possible Bears rise. They don't need a qb (arguable, i know) and can get a really nice haul for that #1 pick.

Todd M -> RE: General Vikes Talk (1/9/2023 1:02:01 PM)

If I was looking to move up I'd target the 2nd pick knowing the Bears aren't going to take a QB. Hope the #1 spot is too cost prohibitive to all teams.

His dead cap # for next year is 99.7M.

Hope he retires and screws the Packers.

So how did we win 13 games having 'a lot to work on' and 'get better at' every damn week?

Does everything we went through this year mean anything now? I don't think we have - firing on all cylinders' in us.

I guess I dont care what it looks like if we can get at least 2 wins. I'm doubtful but I think I'd rather be guarded at this point instead of confident...less rug to pull out.

Do we know what network and announcers will carry the Giants @ Vikes game?

And what set of refs do we get?

edit---

NFC: 4:30 PM (ET) 6 New York Giants at 3 Minnesota (FOX, FOX Deportes)

Thank god it's not CBS.

I've made a big deal of the Vikings' negative point differential (-3), so it's only fair to point out that the Giants (-6) also had one.

In fact, per
@ESPNStatsInfo
, Sunday's matchup will be the 4th playoff game in NFL history between two teams with negative point differentials.

Pete Carroll is 18-9 (.667) against the San Francisco 49ers in his career as head coach of the Seahawks.

Go Pete. There were 0-2 this year however.

There is a non 0% chance of that happening. Sign me up. Give me Tampa over Dallas though.

why is MN underneath TB if we're at 8% and they're at 7%?

if KC is at 20% to win the bowl, does that mean one could get 5-1 odds if they bet on KC?

"It is hard to beat a good team three times in a season, they say. Since the 1970 NFL Merger, there have been 21 instances where a team swept a team in the regular season and then had a third battle in the playoffs. The sweeping team has gone 14-7 in those games, which means it must not be *that* hard to beat a playoff team three times in a season."

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (1/9/2023 3:04:49 PM)

That record against the 49ers, was before the 49ers acquired Christian McCaffrey.

I've never understood that. If you're clearly a better team why is it so hard?

"longtime companion" reads kind of creepy here.

A special shout out to Quay Walker for his great job of pushing, of all people, a Lions trainer, thereby keeping the eventual go-ahead drive alive!
