Needle mover. LMAO if anyone thinks there will be more than zero!

And I wouldn't categorize him as a backup in the strict sense if they will now be running a lot of two TE formations. Sort of like 3WR being important.

He was in on 47% of the snaps last year, which I believe means 47% for the games in which he played (17).

I think he knows he has to be in like two or four day, whatever it is.

We have to be under the cap on the 15th. One more move is probably all that is needed depending on how much we saved on the Hicks pay cut.

The new deals can be delayed until more cap is drummed up.

OK, then why are you posting Kwesi better start focusing on clearing cap? Chances are things are in place and if they can't trade, reduce salaries, etc. it will take 5 minutes to inform the league of the cuts.

We will have to definitely clear more cap depending on how much money is needed for this year. they structure the deals where we could push more of the money going into next year and beyond.

But something will to give.

The Minnesota Vikings just made a sneaky, yet very solid move on the first day of free agency: the team is going to sign former Baltimore Ravens tight end Josh Oliver to a new deal.

Per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Vikings are giving Oliver a three-year deal worth $21 million. $10.75 million of that is guaranteed and there are included incentives that can bump the deal up to $24 million.

As Garafolo notes in his tweet, Oliver is one of the NFL's best blocking tight ends. He's the ultimate compliment to Pro Bowl tight end T.J. Hockenson, who is one of the NFL's best receiving tight ends.

Now, the Vikings have an incredible 1-2 punch at a position that can really hurt NFL defenses when utilized correctly. Hockenson is actually on OK run blocker, as well. So, it's not like the Vikings will be giving too much away if/when just one or both players are on the field.
