Green Bay is not a good team this year. The NFC is not that strong this year.

Yeah, lots to clean up but this team can get better and go places this year.

My humble opinion

Not a Cousins fan but he is the horse for this race

This year

Daniel Lee Young -> RE: General Vikes Talk (10/2/2022 4:54:34 PM)

Rogers throws a pick six and has just 44 yards passing at halftime.

Wow how the mighty have fallen..

I bet their fan boards are on FIRE..dumpster fire…

Get ready to hear a lot about their 48 "world championships". [&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o]

Brad H -> RE: General Vikes Talk (10/2/2022 5:20:03 PM)

There's very few starting quarterbacks I wouldn't choose over Cousins. Geno Smith looks like a far superior option at this point.

Guys I definitely wouldn't choose over Cousins:

Matt Ryan
Baker Mayfield
Daniel Jones
Jameis Winston
Mitch Trubisky
Carson Wentz

Guys that would be a tough choice:

Jared Goff
Marcus Mariota
Jacoby Brissett

Outside of those guys, I'd pretty much choose any other starter in the league over Cousins. And yes, that includes Mac Jones, Geno Smith, Justin Fields, etc..... Cooper Rush looks like a player with more moxie.

That's the sound of squirming.

As you try and distract attention away from the defunct 2-minute campaign ...

With the way Kirk played today, I think Mullens may have gotten more TDs, and led to a blowout win.

But I do think Kirk offers more upside then Mullens, and I am hoping Kirk gets better in the system as the season goes along.

This whole point of view would be charming in an unhinged delusional kind of a way if we didn't have to

use a jaws of life to remove you from the leg of our temporary back-up QB.

I agree. Its wide open ...

not even sure we have to get a lot better ... at least against the division.

8 or 9 games might win the nfc north this year.

Todd M -> RE: General Vikes Talk (10/2/2022 6:50:50 PM)

Stupid Packers.

kgdabom -> RE: General Vikes Talk (10/2/2022 6:51:09 PM)

Pukers get an OT win over the Patriots 3rd string QB. They got the win over Bucs when Bucs were missing I think their top 10 WRs. They are so freaking lucky.

kgdabom -> RE: General Vikes Talk (10/2/2022 6:52:32 PM)

Vikings cover the spread. I win my bet again. [:D]

What about us? The Saints were missing everyone. Although Winston may have thrown it to us more.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (10/2/2022 7:26:25 PM)

It's possible the Patriots 3rd string QB is better than the other 2, Matty hasn't shown that much.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (10/2/2022 7:27:33 PM)

8 or 9 games isn't winning the North, it will take 12 wins, could still be the Vikings.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (10/2/2022 7:32:59 PM)

Rodgers still made a lot of good throws.

Jones is just such an incredible runner. The disadvantage of the Pack focusing on running the ball so much, it doesn't use their advantage of Rodger's accurate passing, keeps a weaker team in the game longer, and will delay Rodgers getting good chemistry with the younger WRs.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (10/2/2022 7:40:15 PM)

The Puke is still a strong team, they are one of the 5 top of the NFC: the Puke, Eagles, Rams and Bucs and 49ers.

The Vikings are the next level, a wildcard team. Arizona and Dallas hover in about the same area.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (10/2/2022 7:48:12 PM)

Tom

I wasn't saying I would switch to Mullens, only saying Kirk didn't play all that well.

I think Kirk has the potential to be really good down the road in this offense.

Kirk is too robotic!

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (10/2/2022 8:30:29 PM)

Kirk still made some great throws, and some of his weaknesses can be masked.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (10/2/2022 8:32:53 PM)

I am ecstatic with KOC, just a little unsure if the Vikings have the correct DC with Donatell.

How will that Donatell defense do on the road against any of the top 5 NFC teams I listed (Puke, Philly, TB, Rams or SF) ?

Bill Jandro -> RE: General Vikes Talk (10/2/2022 8:48:51 PM)

Marty's Packers got f'n lucky to win that game. NE was playing their 3rd string qb and took them to OT in GB.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (10/2/2022 9:25:36 PM)

NE can shut teams down.

One disadvantage of playing NE during the regular season, it sometimes gives other teams ideas on how to beat you. Belichek seems good at finding team's weaknesses.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (10/2/2022 9:28:32 PM)

Before the season, I predicted the Vikes to go 11-6, and one of the losses was to NE, in a home game.

Wow, KC 41 points on the Tampa Bay D in just over 3 quarters
