Calling out your players to the press should definitely help.

With half a season to go, Rocco needs to admit that it is time to roll the dice and put Buxton in the OF and open the DH slot to get a good hitter in the lineup.

Michael Taylor in CF ever day is just killing us. His .258 OBP is building too many outs into the batting order. His .664 OPS is just pathetic for an every day outfielder. Taylor isn't even a good enough hitter to be considered a platoon player. He sucks against lefties and righties.

Max Kepler is Taylor with less speed and defense. He sucks against RHP and is downright abysmal against LHP. His OBP/OPS is also downright pathetic for an every day player.

Get those two out of the lineup. Get Buxton onto the field. Get a hitter up here worth DHing and get Correa's head out of his ass.

I believe young Royce Lewis has driven a truck through the massive flaw in the Merry Popkins hitting approach. These guys are going up there holding out for the perfect pitch. As a result they lay off hittable pitches in hopes of an even better pitch that never comes. They get behind in counts and chase pitcher's pitches with two strikes.

Twins hitters are also very willing to stand there, look at strike three and bitch about it when the tracker shows that it was absolutely a strike. This frosts my nuts more than sliding into first base. One of the first things we were taught in little league was not to be too picky with two strikes. If it's close to a strike you gotta swing.

The rookie with 133 plate appearances figured out this wasnt working and went back to...see ball-hit ball. He attacks the first hittable pitch he sees. Meanwhile Correa, Buxton and Kepler are following the Popkins plan and are well below their career production levels.

Being buyers is great. What do we have that anyone wants?

So agree on Wallner. He is wasted in St. Paul. Just release the less than worthless Kepler to make room. Move Buxton to OF and Taylor to the bench. While they're at it get Christian Vasquez and .594 OPS out of the lineup. Jeffers has an .804 OPS yet Vasquez continues to get the majority of starts.

Also agree on the pinch hitting. I'm tired of Kirilloff getting AB taken away from him. Get the sub .700 OPS out of the lineup and you don't need to PH.

Twins were 0-23 with RISP against the Braves.
Lewis ended that streak in his 1st at bat.
