Moran on the roster and used the way he is shows Rocco and Falvine are Morons.

Duran needs a change up. With his fastball, a change thrown with the same motion is all he needs.

As opposed to the curveball he was throwing in the dirt yesterday?

I was watching gamecast not watching live and it seems to me a lot of the 86 mph stuff was in the dirt - maybe I'm wrong

He either throws it in the dirt or it gets crushed.

I can't believe they've survived with 2 catchers.

The other day when Jeffers took one on the chin...they were out of bench guys. I bet Rocco peed his pants.
Vazquez was at first. They'd have had to put a pitcher in the OF.

Tball bench emptying nutcase manager.

Gardy would have had a heart attack in that situation

What about Vazquez's bat makes Rocco want to get him in the lineup at 1B.

Rocco's analytics IPad told him so

Twins down 6 to 0.
Making a rally to 6 to 3.
Someone tell this godforsaken collection of prima donnas its the worthless hapless Royals.
Pohald family: sell the team

TJSweens -> RE: Twins 2023 Season and Game Day Thread (7/29/2023 8:49:35 PM)

Ober got beat like a drum. Balazovic 1r in 2ip. Bugs Moran took all of 1/3 of an inning to give up two more. Moran sucks. Rocco is a f***ing idiot.

MDK -> RE: Twins 2023 Season and Game Day Thread (7/29/2023 9:36:04 PM)

This organization sucks

This organization sucks

A lot of fans of other organizations are saying the exact same thing. What it is, is bad baseball. It's a league-wide pandemic, caused by analytics and ridiculous rule changes. For those of us that are purists, it is an unwatchable product.

Brad H -> RE: Twins 2023 Season and Game Day Thread (7/30/2023 8:53:34 AM)

Since Joey Gallo's last home run, he's 2-for-22 with 15 strikeouts and one RBI.

Are you Gallo fans still enjoying his talents?

FYI, Arraez has struck out 24 times the entire season, and has 19 more RBI than Gallo.

TJSweens -> RE: Twins 2023 Season and Game Day Thread (7/30/2023 10:44:24 AM)

And the mighty Marlins offense is 27th in MLB. They were 28th last year. Arraez has been a real difference maker for them.

MDK -> RE: Twins 2023 Season and Game Day Thread (7/30/2023 3:24:09 PM)

7 hits and 1 run through 8. Fire Popkins: PLEASE

2 years of a flawed approach. Meh, not enough for Falvey, until his job is on the line.

Which it needs to be.

So pathetic to be swept in KC.

TJSweens -> RE: Twins 2023 Season and Game Day Thread (7/30/2023 7:56:10 PM)

Swept by the pathetic Royals. I don't care if they're in first place. You get swept by the Royals at the end of July, you're not a contender. The Twins should be sellers. No player they can pick up at the deadline will transform this team into something that can contend in the playoffs. They don't have a pool of prospects that bring enough players to make a difference.

SELL!

Sonny Gray and Kenta Maeda would be good rentals for a legitimate contender...SELL!

Kepler and Polanco...SELL!

Castro and Solano are solid utility players...SELL!

57-49

Last season they won 69 games the entire year.

You numbers guys get lost in one number or stat (as if it is the gospel). You can never explain clubhouse mentality, situational hitting or winning close games. One player can make a huge difference in the locker room. Maybe it's Arraez. Maybe not. It's likely a combo of things. Skip Schumaker should be a candidate for manager of the year.

No Brad, we put out quite a few different stats. You're the one focused on batting average to the exclusion of everything else. Yes, the Marlins have a good re ord, but given that they are one of the most non productive offenses in baseball, that record is due to something other than hitting.

Mister Ed -> RE: Twins 2023 Season and Game Day Thread (7/31/2023 9:35:55 AM)

Solano

3 for last 33

[:o]

Phil Riewer -> RE: Twins 2023 Season and Game Day Thread (7/31/2023 3:38:07 PM)

Guardians just traded away Civale to Rays.....No Bieber until middle of September, McKinzie out all year, Civale now traded, and Quantrill no on 15 DL....
White Sox traded away Lynn, Lopez, and Giolito.

Hmm Twins are you going to acquire something?

Mets like Larnach (Pham and/or Raley is the rumor)

TJSweens -> RE: Twins 2023 Season and Game Day Thread (7/31/2023 3:50:56 PM)

Why would they acquire anything when the competition is pulling the plug? They'll win the division. It's not like they care about winning in the playoffs.

Because we have an extra outfielder to trade in Larnach for Raley or Candelaria that would help. Hardly any risk....the market for Candelaria though has increased.

Agreed. No need to spend resources for a rental. The Twins will easily win the division and then get quickly ousted in playoffs, with or without trades. So why bother?

Larnach for a 2 month rental won't make any difference.

Candelario to Cubs
Canha and his 245 average to Milwaukee

Dump Gallo, get buxton to sack up and play CF and play some lefties occasionally vs LHP
Can't be any worse than what has gone on, like Sunday
Several players need to step up
Pham as a spark plug? Ummm, ok.

MDK -> RE: Twins 2023 Season and Game Day Thread (7/31/2023 7:18:43 PM)

Dump Popkins and Rocco
That would be a difference maker

Steve Lentz -> RE: Twins 2023 Season and Game Day Thread (7/31/2023 7:21:39 PM)

The Twins will easily win the Division?
The Twins who have lost 5 straight and got swept by the Royals?
I'm not confident in that at all. So many underachievers to date. Coaches and players.
Must be because I've been a Twins fan for so long.

Cleveland and Chicago are having fire sales.
