I tend to agree with statement but I'm really getting concerned about KOC's coaching.

Questionable gameplan and play calling at times. Barely any creativity and when there is, it's more on ST's

He seems to have regressed and that play calling and check downs are not 100% on KC's. He was billed as some kind of "offensive genius". Billick was the same with Moss and Carter. Look what his offenses looked like in Bmore. JJ covers up a LOT.


I think he has way too much responsibility. The guy has never called plays and suddenly he's the HC and OC?

It feels like he's in over his head and its just steamrolling him at this point.

And his clock management is Zimmeresque.



What's bizaree to me is that (yeah, the offense went to sleep at times) he was really a breathe of fresh air at those things. I can't tell you how many times I muttered to myself "Zimmer would have botched that". You would think he could have carried that over and gotten better. He's gone from a first year 7 to a second year 2 [:-]

KOC should turn play calling over to somebody, he can still stress the things he wants and override plays (I assume some coaches do that at times).

Not sure it really matters at this point.

Vikings won't make playoffs and new young QB will be taking over next year.

Kwesi really needs to hit on the draft. I know Kirk takes a lot of cap but it sure doesn't feel like the Vikings had to let a lot of quality talent leave the building because of Kirk's salary.

You cannot build a defense or an OL on Free Agency market, just doesn't work.

LOL, there hasn't been much talent that could have walked! I won't even mention the stashed $28.5 million.

We were pressuring Mahomes on his throws and I thought played pretty well. He wasn't doing everything he wanted and had to chip away outside of those 2 plays.

I don’t love this team. Last years team gave out endorphins like the house handing out full size chocolate bars at Halloween. This team is giving out apples.

We’re going to float in and around the 7th WC spot for a while and pick out of the top 10.

And I don’t think we hit home runs with Kwesi or KOC and they’re the ones that are going to have to put together something rather quickly. You going to pay Jefferson all that $ and go what, 5 or 6 years wo a playoff win with him? I don’t think they have chops.

Agreed.

Everything is off this year.

Even with close games, I'm not really enjoying the team this year.

Endorphins last year? Using your apples example, IMO more like beautiful apples with needles inserted inside them. Sure unwitting one, take a bite!

1998 was endorphins.

Highly doubt we become sellers at the trade deadline.

The NFL adding that 7th team to the playoffs keeps multiple bad teams in the hunt. As Ricky pointed out we're only one game back of the final spot.

They've had 7 teams per conference since the 2020 season. In NFL parlance, the 8th to 16th place teams are "On the Bubble". Exciting! And #7 plays #2 (according to two sites), possibly Philly or SF. Battle royal!

If they had any kind of inclination towards that they wouldn't have bothered with this "competitive rebuild" bullshit to begin with.

Furthermore, if you look at our schedule AFTER SF next week...it gets a lot easier. No more juggernautish Chiefs, Eagles and 49ers. They will look at it as an opportunity to make a run.

Now all we need to do is find a way to win a couple more until JJ gets back...and stop turning the damn ball over....

I was wondering about this yesterday and was going to add it into a snarky post wondering if it's some kind of combo record or not. Anyways, I'm not going to sit and say we can go far if the drops and fumbles stop but things like that can go away as fast as they appeared. I hope so anyway and I'd take that 7th spot right now if it was going to be handed out - and draft where we draft. But that's just me.

They've got five (six?) more drops than any other team, and a league-worst nine lost fumbles

The offence shouldn’t be letting this team down whether it’s drops, not getting the ball to our best guy, wasted time outs, poor clock management. You don’t get to have a boat load of guys and be sloppy.

I agree about time mgn. Should be a few savants out there somewhere. Drops and fumbles, imo, can be pretty much, sh!t happens. I'm sure there's tech issues but Id bet it's not the biggest part of the prob.

Another issue that others have discussed is not only Mattison not explosive and dropping passes....he also isn't reading blocks. He is outside of Dalvin Cook the worst in the NFL apparently....he is a -40 in expected yards; Dalvin is like -63...

Our run game needs a ton of work.

Got a bad feeling against SF; we can't run and can't defend the run. 2 things that are a staple for them.

I figured out the problem with the run game. We only have one guy who is the running backs coach AND tge run game coordinator. We need an assistant running backs coach and an assistant run game coordinator.

IMHO, it's also a byproduct of having so many new pieces and not playing them a series or 4 in the preseason. You can "plan" all you want and hit in training camp but nothing compares to the real deal. He learned that from the wonder-genius McVay but his teams are pretty 'meh' minus the year they loaded up on seasoned vets.

I have to disagree with that.
KC got killed in the superbowl with terrible line (Mike Remmers anyone).
Went out and fixed it in the offseason.

Add a decent to stud CB or DE to your defense... it can drastically improve things.
