With Brady gone, there should be a few more QBs winning SBs in the next 10 years, unless Mahomes wins half of them.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (5/28/2023 7:40:57 AM)

I think if Ed Ingram takes a step forward this season, then he'll stop stepping on Kirk's foot.

This off season, I would have moved him to LG, where he played in college.

That's a good line.

What the hell isn't right with Dantzler? Seems so strange...

Think Zimmer ruined every cb Rick drafted.

Under zimmer, the fourth round Dantzler looked like a competent NFL player when healthy

Daniel Lee Young -> RE: General Vikes Talk (5/31/2023 1:34:51 AM)

His attitude was shit.

Full of himself, not a team guy..

Taunting ring any bells?

Washington had zero cap space and dantzler was making $2.8mm due to escalators...if he clears waivers he can be had for vet minimum - i'd bring him back here for $1mm....

.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (5/31/2023 7:07:45 AM)

I would definitely bring back Dantzler for vet minimum, he could excell as a 4th or 5th CB, and bring a little veteran presence for the young 2ndary.

Phil Riewer -> RE: General Vikes Talk (5/31/2023 8:45:30 AM)

Blackmon, Booth, Evans, and Murphy.....

If Dantzler is a problem child why bring him back?

@KFANRosen
on KFAN say to keep an eye out on some Justin Jefferson news in the next day or so 👀

thebigo -> RE: General Vikes Talk (5/31/2023 1:06:27 PM)

So the Vikings got Diggs for a 5th rounder, then got a 1st rounder from the Bills for him that they used to draft Jefferson. So for a 5th round pick, we've got 5 years of Diggs, 3 years (and counting) of a 23 year old Jefferson. Not bad.

thebigo -> RE: General Vikes Talk (5/31/2023 1:09:09 PM)

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Diggs is a very destructive personality at the first sign of trouble IMO.

He is a lot of things but a leader isn't one of them.

I think he is way too emotional which makes him a problematic leader.

Hopkins is looking at KC and Buffalo as landing spots......

I don't know, maybe because the current lineup is: Blackmon, Booth, Evans and Murphy.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (5/31/2023 7:05:50 PM)

Murphy started 9 games last season, so he missed 8 games ?

Booth looked bad, and he missed most of the season.

Evans was the 4th CB last year, and he missed the last month.

Blackmon is a rookie, haven't seen him play an NFL down yet.

See if they make Cook a June 1 casualty., although I believe teams can designate up to two players as June 1 cuts prior to that date. Allows those players to hit the market earlier.

Should be interesting. I would hate to stand still and lean on Cook’s diminishing returns.

Would also love to purge more salary / zimmer aftertaste.

Would like to see a KOC offense with more of a KOC stamp …

there's a metric some use where they look at a rb's first 10 carries in a game and then carries 11-20...the good rb's have more yds/carry in the second tier - after the defense tires a bit....

over the last two seasons cook has been something like 4.5 and then 3.5...time to let him go....

Roll unused cap to next year. Kwesi would call that a conditional defrayed budgetary decision.

My very untrained, and unqualified opinion of Cook's running style has been that he look's like a guy making business decisions everytime he surveys the oncoming tacklers.

Next!

I think he should have had shoulder surgery over 2 years ago after he received his extension in Sept 2020.

What an acquiring team would owe Dalvin Cook:

2023: $10.4M salary, $100K workout bonus, $500K LTBE playing-time incentive, $11M cap hit

2024: $11.9M salary, $100K bonus, $500K incentive, $12.5M cap hit

2025: $13.9M salary, $100K bonus, $500K incentive, $14.5M cap hit

No team is trading for this...
