Edwards needs to pull his head out of his ass. He shit the bed on the last possession with the lead.

marty -> RE: Timberwolves 2023 - 2024 Season (5/24/2024 10:26:10 PM)

They look like evenly matched teams, but the Wolves were out coached in the 4th quarter of both games.

Having Rudy on Doncic seemed like a crucial error, and the refs missing the foul on Kyrie where the Mavericks got possession on the out of bounds play was a big no call.

Much of the to game it felt like quick whistles on the Wolves, several times where a foul wasn't made, but they were slow to whistle the Mavericks for the 1st 3 quarters, and then the miss on the obvious foul by Kyrie in the 4th quarter.

ANT and KAT need to show up.

NBA replay SUCKS ASS.

DONCIC is a whiny BITCH.

RUDY should not have been on the floor the last play.

NAZ was great until it really mattered.

We choked it away after late 2nd Q.

Ant, KAT and Rudy need to show up. So many defensive lapses. Everyone around the world watching that game knew Dallas was playing for the 3 yet Rudy got stuck defending Luka all alone at the arc. And yes, Rudy shouldn't even have been on the floor at that point.

I was right again about the Mavericks winning, and now I believe the Timberwolves will win the next 2 games in Dallas.

After that, I don't know.

marty -> RE: Timberwolves 2023 - 2024 Season (5/25/2024 6:20:33 AM)

In case you missed what I said before the game:

After watching the Denver series, it seems like the T-Wolves really thrive as an underdog, and don't do well as a favorite.

So it probably won't be surprising if the T-Wolves lose again tonight, but then go into Dallas in win the next 2 games there.

Mark Anderson -> RE: Timberwolves 2023 - 2024 Season (5/25/2024 10:09:35 AM)

Too much all or nothing with Wolves offense. Has to be a layup/dunk or 3 pointer.

Wide open 8-10 footers passed up alot.

David Levine -> RE: Timberwolves 2023 - 2024 Season (5/26/2024 9:23:46 AM)

Ant clearly is playing injured since the nasty fall in Game 6:

Anthony Edwards before this fall:

30.6 PPG
54.1 FG%
42.2 3P%
65.7 TS%

Anthony Edwards since this fall:

18.7 PPG
29.8% FG
31.0 3P%
44.3 TS%

marty -> RE: Timberwolves 2023 - 2024 Season (5/26/2024 10:30:29 AM)

Changed my mind on the T-Wolves winning the next 2, I think that is just wishful thinking.

marty -> RE: Timberwolves 2023 - 2024 Season (5/26/2024 10:31:26 AM)

I think the T-Wolves will LOSE tonight, then win the next 2, and then the Mavericks win game 6 in Dallas.

So Mavs in 6 games.

TJSweens -> RE: Timberwolves 2023 - 2024 Season (5/26/2024 10:53:39 AM)

I think Edwards struggles are as much about his relative inexperience as any possible injury. Doncic is carrying his knees up and down the court in a shopping bag and he's still making big play after big play.

I also think Finch isn't doing anything to counter what Dallas is doing.

How much of Doncic's game is based on explosiveness?

twinsfan -> RE: Timberwolves 2023 - 2024 Season (5/26/2024 7:27:35 PM)

Mike Conley out with injury.

Knees are a huge factor when you shoot and play defense.

TJSweens -> RE: Timberwolves 2023 - 2024 Season (5/26/2024 7:32:26 PM)

Rudy and KAT are getting embarrassed by Dallas' bigs.

twinsfan -> RE: Timberwolves 2023 - 2024 Season (5/26/2024 9:08:15 PM)

Tie game after 3 quarters. I'll take it.

twinsfan -> RE: Timberwolves 2023 - 2024 Season (5/26/2024 9:08:50 PM)

JimPete says with Blake's husband out, the Wolves has a big personnel advantage over the Mavs.

bstinger -> RE: Timberwolves 2023 - 2024 Season (5/26/2024 9:42:38 PM)

LUKA is a BITCH

twinsfan -> RE: Timberwolves 2023 - 2024 Season (5/26/2024 9:43:56 PM)

Maybe Wolves should have done something other than adding bench-warmer Monte Morris at the trade deadline? Twins have been ripped to shreds for doing more at trade deadlines.

What would you have had them add? At the time of the trade deadline the Wolves were the #1 seed in the West. The bench was considered a strength, except for a lack of a backup PG. Morris was considered a very good pickup at the time of the trade. Comparisons to the Twins many trade deadline failures is absurd.

Steve Lentz -> RE: Timberwolves 2023 - 2024 Season (5/27/2024 12:25:19 PM)

How about KAT playing like the player he's supposed to be?
3 for 22 from the 3 point line?????

I think the moment is clearly too big for KAT and Rudy isn't far behind. They're making Edwards carry this team on his back and he needs someone to rely on and play off of like Luka and Irving play off each other. KAT and Rudy are just completely outclassed PJ and Lively this series.

Edwards needs a compliment like Luka or Jokic, does ANT and Rudy combined match that ?

Karl Juhnke -> RE: Timberwolves 2023 - 2024 Season (5/28/2024 7:51:45 AM)

I find it amazing that no NBA team has ever come back from down 3-0. I get that it should be exceedingly rare, but not once?

So what are The Wolves chances? I say extremely slim but not zero. The reason it hasn’t happened is, of course in order to get down 3-0 the better team has won. So the odds of a worse team winning 4 straight is minuscule.

If ever a team could do it though, it would be a series like this. Dallas is not a clearly better team. They are roughly equal say. They have just won 3 coin flips in a row.

So do I expect the Wolves to make history? No. Bit the chance is not zero, as history might suggest. They’d have to now win 4 coin flips in a row. The chance of doing that is 1/16.
