The Twins are climbing and Cleveland is in free fall. This bodes well. The concern is that one of our top two starters all year (Joe Ryan) could be done for the year.

We've been questioning the Twins medical staff on crack for many years. At what point do the Twins start questioning it?

When people say that i wonder what is it the training staff is doing or not doing that makes them negligent? What are they doing differently than a competent medical staff?

When people say that i wonder what is it the training staff is doing or not doing that makes them negligent? What are they doing differently than a competent medical staff?

Boy oh boy. Doing a pennant run with 3/5 of your rotation rookies....

Sounds sustainable to me.

And it is true that Matthews is to be called up for game 2. MLBtraderumors reporting. They have yet to announce a corresponding 40 man roster move as it will be necessary to put Matthews on the roster.

My hope is the Dobnak experience is now over.

Blewett will probably be DFA to make room, since they put Ryan on the 15 day. Maybe they transfter him to the 60 and not make that move.

As you said, THREE rookies the rest of the way.
I'm guessing Plutko will be summoned when one of them has multiple trash outings and gasses the bullpen

They really need last year's Pablo, not Bert Blyleven HR Pablo

Matt guaranteed they would spend more money.....
We knew they wouldn't.

So deflating.....you have a team that can compete and your aren't giving them the resources. Don't resign Farmer or Margot and you have 10 million for a starter. Odds are that the Pohlads would have tried to pocket that 10 million also so the FO spent it quick.

Zebby Matthews pitched well.

Against a good/decent lineup. It helped that the lineup jumped all over a Cy Young candidate and made him look more like Cy Spurzburg or something. Allowed Matthews to relax and just pitch. And give credit to Vasquez for babysitting him through 5 solid innings.

I was a bit worried because a few weeks ago I went to my first Saints game...and Zeby Matthews pitched. He did NOT look good then.

Our relievers right now are setting up as vintage Royals 2015/2016-ish. Not quite as trustworthy yet. But getting there.
