Until you can get a quarterback, it is all just rearranging the deck furniture on the Titanic.

We had one, and you folks ran him out of town.

Yes, the posters in talkvikes gathered our torches and pitchforks and stormed Sam Darnold's home. We dragged him from his house, tarred and feathered him and dumped his ass on a Greyhound bus with a one way ticket to Seattle.

Wonder how Brad H will be spin after Seattle lost their OC, OLine coach, top RB, and their 2nd string RB out until the middle of the season.....It was all about signing that USC QB.

You and just about every other fan in here voiced your displeasure after the playoff loss. You told management you had zero confidence in his abilities. Fan bases can be a powerful force.

You may not have directly run him out of a town, but you played a part in it.

Sam Darnold lost most of the same components the year before and went 14-3. His offensive line was even worse than the one we saw last season. Yet, he was really good. You couldn't see a good thing when you had it when it was right in front of you.

You still can't fathom Seattle was better setup to win the SB last year than the Vikings which every other poster here has admitted and tried to point out........yet you continue to act like a scorned little child over your USC alum.

I gotta hand it to you Brad. I posted a ridiculously stupid reply to your idiotic post and you came right back and topped it.

I picture the KAM and KOC conversation:
KOC: JJ missed a whole year of development. He isn't ready to take over the offense. We need to bring to bring back Darnold.
KAM: Sorry Kevin. The posters on a website called talkvikes seem to think Sam shit the bed in the playoffs. He's gotta go.

R U kidding?
You have yet to look at it unbiased. Calling anyone an idiot is touche Brad H. When someone posts the facts about wanting Dan Jones first what is your comment? Brad H response: Crickets.

Seattle won not because of signing Sam but because that was about one of 10 moves that won them the SB....

Brad H Response: Crickets.

You continue to say you are looking at the forest and in reality you aren't looking past the rose bush in the USC pot in your back yard. I am guessing you are typing about everyone else being an idiot while you stare lovingly at a Sam Darnold USC jersey in your office or something to that affect. [&:]

I would much rather have McDonald/OSU but he probably won't make it to the 2nd. If they do take Thieneman in the first, they need to convince Smith to come back for 1 more to mentor him. Win/win.

Any of those top DL would be great.

For the #18 slot, expecting a day one starter is not too much to ask. One thing with Smith is that we lose a roster spot for a one-year rental. Flores and his defensive coaches can coach Thieneman, and because of his speed they might use him differently than Harrison.

Caleb Banks is an option as well in rd 2. He has a 1st rd grade but a has had foot problems and is a risk in that dept.

Understand, Marty, these guys in here have monstrous egos.

Sam Darnold went 14-3 with one of the worst offensive lines in football. Not one of them saw that coming. The guy went way beyond their wildest imaginations in getting within one game of having the top seed in the NFC. They were stunned, yet still predicting his eventual crash.

Then, he loses two games to really good teams and nearly every guy in here shows up with a massive I TOLD YOU sign. They are 100% convinced Darnold cannot win the big one.

A year later they are all eating crow. That's a pretty accurate run down of the events.

With the exception of one guy..........................ME.

Now, it's my fault they ran the guy out of town and they are stuck with a kid that cannot play at the professional level. And for some reason, one idiot makes a USC connection, as if that has any place within 10,000 miles of the conversation.

Oh what a tangled web we weave.............

Todd M -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (3/29/2026 9:17:22 AM)

ME

That should be your signature, Brad.

Although I will say "The fans ran Darnold out of town" is not a ludicrous statement. Saying we didn't physically do it isn't a good defense when it was most people's wishes.
