I am not passing anything up Bill, I am right about everything I posted, you are correct on a few small points, and you finally seem able to understand how 2 different things can be true at the same time. Congratulations 🎉

Stop being a child.

The real reasons have been pointed out by people other than you Stuart.

I am not acting like a child in the least, and I commend you Bill for not acting childish, and just sticking to your pomposity and small mindedness.

Marty will post all night that he is right.

I am, I really am!

It won't ever make it so. Poor guy.

Go back to predicting next week's game five different ways so you can say you were "right". If only the validation you seek was earned, why... you wouldn't be you!

Arlowe84 -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (10/19/2025 6:56:45 PM)

Van Ginkel - great 1st year, but returning to his injury riddled Mia days
Grenard - fun first year, but has probably regressed to the mean and probably played over his head last year. Playing more like the guy in Hou.
Allen - had already seen his best days
Hargrave - had already seen his best days
Rodgers - probably a nickel/slot CB. Not a starter
Okudah - never lived up to the hype
Kelly - was an injury risk coming in.
Thielen - they literally gave up a draft pick for barely 1 catch a game.

It's an old team without much young talent. Jackson, Turner, Jefferson, Darrisaw, Addison - only potential keepers under 26. JJ still a major question mark.
Our coach and GM both got extensions and you could make the team may be going in the wrong direction. 4 years in zero playoff wins unless they pull a miracle this year.
Justin Herbert may throw for 400 yards.

Seems like the defense has been figured out a bit. Made Dillon Gabriel look like a good starter in this league.

Agree with most of this. I think Grenard is getting alot of attention. Need the other side to do something. I think Dallas Turner is a very talented LB. But he should be a WLB in a 4-3. Better in space but not good at wrestling with OTs.

I think Rodgers is #2. Rough day today but has been solid all year. Murphy might be the most overpaid player in the NFL. Huge mistake signing him to big money.

Mark Anderson -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (10/19/2025 7:14:34 PM)

Vikings are kind of a bizarro team.

2nd and 1 on offense seems to be bad for us.

3rd and 15 for other teams are also bad for us.

I forgot Redmond looks good too. Not sold 100%
Everyone wanted to claim Pace was some sort of find after 1 year
Now he's been benched

Nailor looks pretty good.

We spent a 3rd rounder on Felton. Give him some of Thielen's snaps.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (10/19/2025 7:27:38 PM)

$300+ million in new contracts doesn't buy what it used to.

We are $37 million in the hole for 2026. Cutting Hargrave and Kelly decreases that by almost two-thirds. Then we can go back to signing the likes of Jerry Tillery and starting Brandel.

I think we can still turn it around. It will take someone like JJM or even Brosmer/Sloter catching lightning in a bottle.

All NFC contenders have warts. Closest thing to a complete team is TB or DET. Maybe GB but Love usually does some boneheaded plays in big games.

It is still relatively early. My concern is expecting, in essence, a rookie QB to save the day usually doesnt work out to well
I think the idea was to surround JJ with a win now team
I think they over estimated how good there roster is

We are last in the NFCN. 10 NFC teams have better records.

Sure we can turn it around, anytime until being mathematically eliminated. Catching lightning in a bottle with JJM or the two no-names? LOL. JJM can't even stay on the field; he's missed 21 of 23 games.

I was right in the points I made Bill, sorry your limited brain doesn't understand.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (10/19/2025 8:16:20 PM)

Before the season there was the small chance that JJM would play well from the get go and continue to do so through the year.

With the season almost at the halfway point, that ship has sailed.

It's very conceivable the team won't know what they have in JJM until after year THREE of his contract. And that is assuming he can stay healthy.

I don't need your validation Bill, I am glad to see your starting to understand that 2 things can be true at the same time, without there being any contradiction or wishy washiness. It's an improvement for your little mind.

Rich, the Vikings most certainly could win 11 in a row, if they just had mediocre QBing, or slightly above mediocre QBing. I thought Purple Ginger Jesus would rise to the occasion, but appears that even his best is below mediocre.

Guess you missed the game over in Cheesehead land.

Marty's world: The Cashman no call was "The key. Period." And to paraphrase... after that we coulda, woulda won if this and that happened plus that and this went our way. LMAO!

What a tangled web you weave! Next time just go full on alternative facts. It suits you!

If you're so right you should've been able to see our qb situation isn't good at all. At this point im just hoping to get some look at JJ to see what he have. At this rate we may know his skills in about 4 more years.

Rob Viking -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (10/19/2025 10:39:44 PM)

I was hopeful this game could have swung the season and propelled Wentz to a great run. But this game was a classic Wentz game. Back breaking mistakes and bad sacks when trying to do too much. Yet moving the ball with ease between the 20s, coupled with some heroic runs. Then finally coming up short in the end. I was willing to give Wentz an opportunity to have a great game vs his old team but this has to be JJ the rest of the way, he has to take his lumps and most would agree on that. I understand if they'll stick with Wentz on a short week.

The Brandel hold hurt no doubt, could have kept the momentum going.

Obviously the D needs to shoulder a good amount of blame. Hargreaves and Allen look like complete whiffs, but there might be a gem in Redmond. The Eagles were able to constantly get the matchups they wanted vs Flo's D. Rodgers has been good this year but with the game on the line, he's matched up 1 on1 on Brown who's 4" taller and 50 lbs heavier than him. Rodgers had to play the slant aggressively knowing he has to get there when the ball does or Brown will carry him for the necessary yardage.

Daniel Lee Young -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (10/20/2025 1:04:11 AM)

I’m losing my religion..

JjM= never heathy
Harrison smith and Hockenson and Thielen and Arron Jones?

Complete waste of space and money.

Dallas turner and Ivan pace.. ( JJM) wasted draft picks..

Run defense? Suspect at best, any team has been able to stop Barkley..

After seeing Caron( my head is up my ass) Wentz implode, today.. just shot me..

Back up QB?

Barely capable journeymen or “I'm too gutless of a coach to try anything that might upset my game starter”.. clipboards holders

Why is Ty chandler getting paid?

Name one player at CB or safety that no one will throw at..everyone’s man crush of the past couple weeks was hot buttered toast for touchdowns, TWICE, today

Lbs?

Yea, no..Van Ginkle? Looks really good standing on the sidelines.. grenard made two plays.. pace, benched, turner, invisible, Wilson is just better than nothing..

OL had two or three legit starters and Brandel, ain’t one of them..

This is a team personnel decision disaster.

We are currently the worst team in our division.
