Bill, thanks for reposting my many thoughts, you have reinforced to me that I was right about nearly everything with regards to the current discussion.

It's unfair to single you out as the only bully Bill, it's really group bullying. But as I stated earlier, I agree with most of your opinions in the political threads, so I appreciate the group bullying right wingers. Many other political groups, it is the right wingers that tend to do most of the bullying and name-calling, so it's refreshing with this board that the opposite tends to occur.

I don't expect you to change, I was only pointing out your behavior, and why the group bullying (I incorrectly stated it was just you) has driven some people from this board. Thankfully Brad is still around, despite all the personal attacks he has endured.

As much as you hoped I'd be goaded into refuting your all-encompassing 'I was right' decree, that won't be happening.

If you think there is group bullying, so be it. If I posted ideas and every reply refuted my idea as well as offered other criticism worth thinking about, I'd as a minimum rethink my ideas. But you do what you need to do.

I am requesting you stop (as in NO more words about it) tying me in with your political views and statements; you've done it twice already. Just consider it a closed issue and don't bring it up in any shape or form.

And you dangle Brad's name around like a loose thread hoping it will be picked at. Do what you must, but I'm having none of that.

Request denied Bill.

I see sharing similar views politically as a positive, I see it as actually seeing some positives in my very negative view of you. Maybe you're not so bad.

You're not any sort of authority over me in any way, shape or form.

You send me private messages, and say you will not read my response to them. What kind of person are you ? I hope you're not in a an adult relationship where your partner is not allowed to respond or have any voice.

Figured as much. There are no positives and you know that. Nothing I can do about it, so go right ahead and continue to intertwine me with your political statements on this Vikings thread.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/9/2025 3:43:03 PM)

You have some redeeming qualities Bill, I am searching for more positives about you.

I thought McCarthy should have ran the ball on many different plays earlier, just to make the defense respect that.

I did NOT like McCarthy's decision to go for 2, you had momentum, just kick the extra point. You can always go for 2 on the next TD.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/9/2025 4:08:44 PM)

False starts were a big part of the game. Not expecting the lack of discipline to improve, but at the same time need to see JJM improve.

We should be 1st in number of penalties against after this week, and we've already had our bye (i.e. one less game).

BisonFan -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/9/2025 4:11:33 PM)

That many false starts, can someone please explain how you can have so many at your HOME game? Does JJ have a funky cadence or was the team not focused and that would be on KOC. I like watch McCarthy play and he will improve, but needs to quit throwing fastballs on every throw, need some touch.

Doesn't seem like his coach is helping him.

Having him drop back like he's Matthew Stafford is wild.

Also wild they thought they could win with basically a rookie who's big knock was lack of reps/experience throwing.
And sure enough, having all sort accuracy issues
Only 3 QBs with a worse completion %

He definitely lacks experience. I'm ok with these mistakes as long as there's upwards progression. He's gotta stay healthy as well. With his style of play that may be tough.

I don't have issues with INTs by a young QB. My biggest issue is his sailing of footballs. One thing I remember I read an evaluator say, is he lacks consistent touch and tries to "rip" everything.

And what's up with throwing it into the arms of d lineman?

At the end of the day we'll have to wait and see but the false starts with this team and batted balls are definitely out of hand.

Also worth noting because there has been time to coach at least some of that out of him.

Right now he's playing with his hair on fire, so every play is a fire drill. He's certainly not standing there like David Carr but he still has happy feet even if it's based on Caleb Williams w/o the pure ability to escape.

2nd INT I put on Jefferson. One on one coverage, you throw it up and you hope a 30M+ WR comes down with ball. Teams are getting physical with JJ and it is working.

To be fair he's only at $15M... with a jump to an average of $45M the next three years (void $ factored in to that). But those are minor financial details.

I have Breece Hall on my fantasy team, and in that league, he got me 51 points 😊.

Hall would have been a great pickup for the Vikings this year, but this is probably a lost season, so it makes more sense to just get him in the off-season free agency where it won't cost any picks. It could easily happen, if they are concerned that Aaron Jones is too close to hitting the wall, and it's time to pair Mason with someone 4 or 5 years younger.

Agreed. I've watched that play 3-4 times. He doesn't trip he just flat out falls down. Then stands there vs going and tackling the guy.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/9/2025 5:37:33 PM)

Time to see if Mr. Nice Guy KOC will say enough is enough. Every free moment of time off for this week beyond what's league mandated needs to be replaced with work at the practice facility for some of the team or some players.

Pipe in noise and have the OL and JJM work as many snap counts every minute of the extra time. Run more. Bench those who bitch. Give playing time to those who say hell yes I/we need a kick in the teeth.

Have JJ run 25 patterns without falling. If he falls, start again!

In the future, shoot for league average in player surveys of benefits. Stop most of the coddling of families who 'worry' about travel accommodations, club seats, child care, etc. Grow up. You can afford all of those to include having a private concierge travel with you if needed! It's not supposed to be a country club. At a minimum, earn the extra benefits.
