Name me a worse starting quarterback option in the NFC right now than JJ McCarthy.

Tyler Shouch
maybe Marcus Mariota

Exactly.

So what should we do about it Brad? Start Brosmer? Or should we keep working on the development of our QB?

I'm sorry, I am not willing to abandon this QB after just four games. Most QBs go through these growing pains.

So where are those QB ratings for every Great QB after four games I asked you for?

Or is all you care about getting people to say, golly gee you're right, or are you going to put out another bullshit blanket statement that if nobody comments that they are agreeing with you?

Arlowe84 -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/10/2025 11:48:38 AM)

We had the answer and got emotional after a playoff loss.

Answer for what?
Did he win a playoff game or essential home game yet for Seattle? LA Rams are on the schedule next week but that isn't a year end game.

Sam still has 0 playoff wins. (last I checked).

I would much rather have playoff appearances and zero wins than no playoff appearance whatsoever. That's the current road you are heading down.

Except with Sam instead of Kirk?
You asked to get rid of Kirk and it is the same reason they didn't keep Sam.

Michigan State and USC. That's all you have to know.

If you add JJ..

Michigan, Michigan State vs. USC.

If Sam wins playoff games then something can be said.

4-5 doesn't mean we are out of the playoffs yet but we have to be 9-8 or 10-7 and that is a tall tale.

No we didn't.

It was always the plan to turn the job over to JJM. Always. they were not going to pay Darnold what Seattle offered. He was as good as gone. Daniel Jones they offered more money and he opted to go elsewhere.

And where are those QB ratings for say Josh Allen after just four games of his NFL career, Patrick Mahomes? Tom Brady? Peyton Manning? etc etc etc etc.

and last years record means NOTHING in 2026. Every team makes changes year to year.

So what do we do THIS year since you have all the answers? Our Options are JJM, Brosmer and Wolford.

Could woulda shoulda doesn't change anything.

Ride the wave....that's what we have to do with JJM. Eventually he will learn to pick up the 1st on 3rd and one when he has the opportunity instead of gambling on a deep shot. Eventually he will learn he doesn't have to throw everything 100mph. EVERY QB takes time to develop. You didn't even give up on JJM cause you never game him a chance.

I may come around eventually and say, "you're right" but I will not right now because there isn't enough evidence that he's going to bust. Like any young QB he's going to go through some growing pains.

I personally think he's trying a little too hard especially at home.

He's a bit too amped up. Needs to settle down and relax a bit

I would add Michael Penix and Kyler Murray/Brissett to that list. And factoring in contracts perhaps Dak, Jordan Love and Purdy. Jayden Daniels continues to be injured so that's a concern. Stafford close to retirement.

Jackson Dart is an unknown and the Giants have 0 expectations.

I am enjoying these conversations, seeing Brad defend his position, and seeing several people supporting McCarthy through the worst.

Still posting about me, I came here to discuss football, whether or not KOC is really the best fit for McCarthy.

Do see girl as an insult ? It could be thought of as a compliment, there are many young ladies today that are stronger persons than men of the same age.

I see Martyr is still at it

TBH...neither topic you mention is the conversation. Brad can't defend his position until Sam wins a playoff game and McCarthy at his worst was his rookie year due to the knee injury and he has but 4 games this year.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/10/2025 3:01:35 PM)

What is your point in reposting that Bill ? You want to start up more shit with me ?

I view 'martyr' as the highest honor, and at times during my life, have thought I would be willing to sacrifice my life for the right cause. But I never have seen a cause that was worthy of that.

The person that posted that, was using projection, it was THEY who wanted attention. I love attention, but I don't feel a constant need for more.

Phil

It stemmed from the topic of KOC and McCarthy, it's all conversation about the Vikings.

I suppose not playing at all is worse then playing poorly, hadn't thought of that.

And he could actually play worse, I am hoping this is the lowest point for him, and that the loss to San Diego remains the lowest point for the team.

LAC are better than advertised....Pitt lost to them last night by 15.

What can the Vikes do to win the next game? Leave that other BS behind. It is all the past now.

Hiring Harbaugh will always be one of those what ifs. He is the modern day Parcells, he can turn any team around in no time, and instill belief and physicality to the physically and mentally softest of teams.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talkk (11/10/2025 5:02:05 PM)

Yes, San Diego hung in their well with Pittsburgh's physicality, Harbaugh may have toughened up Hebert.

But the damned Steelers injured my fantasy football TE Gadsden [X(]

They made Rodgers look like shit, which is nice. But to your point, Harbaugh continues to set up his team to run. Why not if it counters what defenses are set up to defend. And ultimately he has Herbert!
