Ugh! Brodin was seen on crutches after the game.

Looks like Jimmy took a shot on the ankle.....let's hope nothing is broken.
I missed the 1st period but the last 2 periods were some really good hockey. I thought it looked like both teams settled down on the cheap shit, accept for Benn who only has that left to his game these days. As I said after the first game, all those hits are looking to add up now and we look like the stronger team. I sure hope this holds up Thursday and we can end it at home. Go Wild!

Trenin being back helps.

McCarron has been really good....2 big goals in this series. He actually looked quick/fast on his goal last night. We need to resign him.

Wally is the teams #1. It's going to be an interesting offseason with that. It's clear..

I admit I was somewhat skeptical handing him the #1 spot for the playoffs. But he has been rock solid. You gotta keep playing him until there’s a reason not to, and he has not provided that reason.

Lynn G. -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/29/2026 9:28:43 AM)

What a difference between the first couple of games and the last couple as far as the targeted hitting by both sides. I think it should be clear that, just looking at 5 on 5, regular play with skill players, the Wild has been the better team. Now we need to prove it by winning game 5 back at home.

As a fan, the third period exhausted me. [:D]

Wally is showing everybody watching why he was considered a top goalie prospect when drafted. The more he plays in the playoffs the better he is getting and the only way I see him giving up the net now is, heaven forbid, by injury....

Just think, the only reason they went with Wally is that Gustavsson thoroughly imploded down the stretch. If Gus had just been half way decent, they probably would have gone with him and the series would be over.

Very true. The Bus gave up an extra goal versus expected in his trial run before the playoffs. Series would probably be lost by now.

Last 10 playoff games (WCF vs EDM, R1 vs MIN)
The Stars have scored 8 goals at 5v5 from 23.46 expected.
That is ***15.46*** goals below expected. In 10 games!
They’re shooting ***3.6 percent*** at 5v5 during that stretch.
Insane we’re having this same discussion.

It was more than one goal that game and it more than that game. Gus was just terrible for the last three weeks of the season.

My simple recap:

Team played awesome, they simply can't hang 5-5.

It's like stfrank said, that bottom 6 is all NHL veteran players now. Nobody from the AHL carousel. Plus there is a whole lot of size on those units. The heavy game is taking a toll on Dallas.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/29/2026 3:07:41 PM)

It was more than one goal that game and it more than that game. Gus was just terrible for the last three weeks of the season.

JMO, but, he was mentally broke after getting pulled in game 1 of the Olympics. He was never the same.

It is a bit too early to talk about the offseason.....but:
The Wild have rights to Samuel Hlavaj also who was pretty dang good at the Olympics and saw a similar season as Jesper did in Iowa prior.
I think I read that Gus has a no trade for next year I believe.

Phil Riewer -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/29/2026 6:20:10 PM)

Stretch passes completed playoffs

1. Quinn Hughes- 47
2. Jacob Trouba- 26
3. Jackson LaCombe- 25
4. Evan Bouchard- 21
5. Thomas Chabot- 18
6. Rasmus Dahlin, Brock Faber- 17

I hope they can get a couple early so we don't have to see Hughes and Faber log 30+

It's always a less stressful game when they are playing with a lead, but I suspect they will both be pushing 30 minutes no matter what.

Jamie Benn was fined $2,600 for cross-checking Ryan Hartman in the head.

I assume Hartman is getting a 10-game suspension for getting cross-checked in the head

Looks like Tyler Myers, who had a ghastly Game 5, is scratched tonight. Alex Petrovic is skating with Lian Bichsel.

Michael Bunting on the Jamie Benn line.

Wild leading 1-0 in the first on a goal by Hughes.

stfrank -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/30/2026 7:36:34 PM)

A good period to start. Love how everybody is in on it and doing a great job. Get another goal and Dallas could lose interest....

stfrank -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/30/2026 8:25:05 PM)

2-2 after 2....about what I expected out of this game. Pretty sure it will go down to the wire, just hope it's us getting the win.

kgdabom -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/30/2026 9:04:42 PM)

Hughes scores again. Looking for the series MVP. Wild 3-2 with 4 minutes remaining.

kgdabom -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/30/2026 9:15:03 PM)

Boldy 2 EN goals. Wild advance. 5-2. Now hopefully the Wolves advance also.

TJSweens -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/30/2026 9:24:30 PM)

Since I despise the city of Dallas with every fiber of my being, this is a very gratifying evening.
