There's something wrong with Walker Jenkins. He forgot how to hit.

No he didn't. Just like anyone else, he needs to adjust to a higher level. He has done it at every level. He will do it here too. Give him a little time. He just needs time to adjust.

Emmanuel Rodriguez hits a HR in his first AB. It's been a long road to the majors for Pudge's son. Former 6th round draft pick.

He's not Pudge's son.

Though we did draft that guy as an OF in 2011. Dereck is his name.

and that guy converted to pitcher and is a pitcher in Mexico now.

Matt is just mad we didn't keep his newest Kielty on the team and instead brought up ERodg and Jenkins.

twinsfan -> RE: General Twins Talk (9/14/2026 9:12:38 PM)

This bullpen is officially no better now than it was before the trades. And that's hard to do.

twinsfan -> RE: General Twins Talk (9/14/2026 9:40:42 PM)

Shoulda won 3-1 tonight.

Can they win 12 straight to meet your projected win total?

I will answer this.

NO

Not a snowball's chance in the hot place.

Andrew Morris since August 1st: 16G, 15.2 IP, 15 ER, 8.63 ERA, 5 blown saves, 0-6 W-L record.

twinsfan -> RE: General Twins Talk (9/15/2026 9:25:40 PM)

I don't like how Andrew Morris finishes his pitches. Totally off-balance. Like a righty Liriano.

So they should have brought him along slower and spent some $$$ earlier on a RP. I totally agree

I wonder what our resident pitching expert thinks?

twinsfan -> RE: General Twins Talk (9/17/2026 8:23:18 AM)

I was at the game yesterday. So frustrating when the Yankees tied it up. And then all the blown chances in extra innings. That's one of the few times you'll ever see a 2-pitch inning...and of course it's the Twins that managed to make it happen! It ended up being fun because we won. But man, that was some unnecessary stress.

Now we go to Anaheim for 4 and to SF for 3. That's practically an automatic 8-game winning streak (when you include yesterday's win). Unfortunately, even if we come back home and sweep the Rangers, we'll only be 81-81. I think it will take 82 wins to get in. White Sox are in the driver's seat for that last playoff spot, but they have been really terrible lately.

LOL. automatic 8 game winning streak!!! Twins will go 3-5

Bill Johanesen -> RE: General Twins Talk (9/17/2026 3:23:09 PM)

A two-pitch inning. Crazy.

So on the left coast, Ohtani is on IL and Snell is down. It was going to be tough before, now IDK (if they get that far). Mil is mowing teams down like bowling pins and LA hasn't looked good for months.

On the Skubal trade, seems Mil went in for Skubal but the positions LA offered were better aligned to what Det wanted.

Walker Jenkins saves the season!

TJSweens -> RE: General Twins Talk (9/18/2026 7:29:40 AM)

For half an inning.

He got his average all the way up to... checks stats...ah never mind.

I kid though. I still like him. Still the right move to call him up and give him a taste of the bigs. He's young. Time is on his side.

twinsfan -> RE: General Twins Talk (9/20/2026 10:31:18 AM)

Great bullpen. It's like a broken record.

Trekgeekscott -> RE: General Twins Talk (9/21/2026 9:31:06 AM)

Well,

Apparently Aaron Sabato is going to get a taste of the Majors to finish out the season.

twinsfan -> RE: General Twins Talk (9/22/2026 9:37:17 AM)

The Twins parted with one of their longest-tenured scouts Deron Johnson, who served as their amateur scouting director from 2008-16. He spent the last decade as a senior advisor and the Twins decided to eliminate his position

twinsfan -> RE: General Twins Talk (9/22/2026 10:35:53 AM)

Who is everyone rooting for in the playoffs? If the White Sox happen to get in, I think I'll go for them in the AL. It's the same old teams in the NL (every freaking year). Ummmm....I guess Milwaukee is the only team I don't despise.
