Unless the injury report changes my mind, gonna go with:

Steelers over Dolphins, by 17
Raiders over Texans - Raiders have been getting it done on the road. I wonder if Carr is like Carson Palmer in that when it comes to the playoffs, he'll either be injured or giving substandard play.

Since Carr has had A FREAKIN BROKEN LEG for 2 weeks and is out for the season...

I'm sure your other picks are well considered though.

Ricky J -> RE: 2015 WR's. (1/7/2017 12:33:46 AM)

I will not be at peace with the rest of the season until Dallas and GB are out. I pretty much could live with anything else but I'm sure I'd eventually puke if the Lions beat us to a SB.

Carr clearly allowed himself to be hurt. Duh.

I was aware of that BigO, that is why zip said 'BE injured or substandard play'. I suppose I could have added 'get injured', but that should have been apparent.

marty -> RE: 2015 WR's. (1/7/2017 10:47:03 PM)

0-2 for today, I hope to go 0-4 for the weekend as that would mean the Pack loses.

Not only Carr but 2nd string McGloin out too

Rookie first start in a playoff game. Now that's baptism by fire.

JC2015 -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/8/2017 6:52:21 PM)

First round playoff games were pretty boring

A few notes:

* Steelers did very little in the air after the big start and now is hurt. I think the KC game will be real tough for them
* Seattle is very beatable this year. Their defense is average at best. Detroit had a ton of big plays wide open but Stafford's broken finger made his throws too far off target.
* Texans have no shot
* GB losing Nelson will hurt against a better team

Bill Jandro -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/9/2017 8:48:57 AM)

Texans are playing well but hard to bet against the Pat's in this spot.

Chiefs might surprise some people I think they will be a tough out

JTC2017 -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/9/2017 11:10:50 AM)

The CHiefs are the one that I think has the biggest chance of the teams I picked against for the divisional round

JTC2017 -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/9/2017 11:11:33 AM)

I really thought the Giants choked. They should have been up 17-0 at halftime

Bill Jandro -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/9/2017 12:09:42 PM)

Packers are so damn lucky.
Hail Mary
Rarely penalized
I hate them

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/10/2017 10:58:21 AM)

The Hail Mary was the dagger, the Giants out schemed and outplayed the Packers the 1st half, but ended up BEHIND at halftime.

When it didn't seem the Giants would mount much of a comeback, I was actually hoping the Pack would pile on some garbage points, just so when the Pack falls (assuming they will), it's a bigger fall [8D].

Tim Cady -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/10/2017 3:23:25 PM)

My pre playoff picks were crap. Steelers only one I got right. Preseason I picked Seattle in NFC championship game against MN. Ok here we go, I agree with JC that Seattle is beatable but I also think that Matt Ryan hasn't proved he can win a big game. Advantage Seattle.

I like Chefs and Patriots.

Packers will roll the boys. I am going to enjoy that.

Packers at Seattle for NFC Championship - Do Packers get revenge for 2015?

Chiefs at Patriots for AFC Championship (all along I have picked NE, but I would like to see the Chefs win at Foxboro)

I am feeling Packers Chiefs Super Bowl.

Still going with New England/Seattle rematch. This week I reserve the right to blow this up and pick different next week.

Yup.

The hail mary and the idiot kickoff "return" at the 3 really hurt. Dropped passes...

They should have schooled GB.

I think the DAL OL is going to run right over GB. The play action should toast them.

PIT has been by darkhorse team all year. They still are...

JC2015 -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/10/2017 4:09:31 PM)

How many times did that dumbass Giants kick returner field the ball inside the 10?

3-0

1st and 10 at NYG 11
(2:09 - 1st) PENALTY on NYG-E.Flowers, False Start, 5 yards, enforced at NYG 11 - No Play.
1st and 15 at NYG 6
(2:09 - 1st) R.Jennings up the middle to NYG 9 for 3 yards (M.Daniels, L.Guion).

1st and 10 at NYG 8
(10:11 - 2nd) (Shotgun) E.Manning pass short left to O.Beckham to NYG 10 for 2 yards (D.Randall).

1st and 10 at NYG 8
(4:56 - 2nd) P.Perkins up the middle to NYG 12 for 4 yards (M.Burnett). GB-B.Martinez was injured during the play.

Stand on the 10, if the ball is going over your head LEON LETT IT BE!!!

Some of those you have to catch because the gunners are waiting at the goal line to down it there but the one punt was a low liner screaming towards the end line and he caught it going back towards the goal with out stretched arms. That ball had a 99% chance of going in for a touchback

It was like he had never received any instruction on when or when not to field a punt.

Thomas O. Eliason -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/10/2017 11:02:30 PM)

I thought "what a dumbass" too. a few times.

JC2015 -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/11/2017 5:03:21 PM)

The reason why people used the 10 yard line is because it doesn't matter if the gunners get it at the 5 or you do - you are backed up

Better to let it bounce

1. The gunners could knock it into the end zone
2. It could carry into the end zone
3. If you field it with that many people around you a fumble is a major issue

JC2015 -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/14/2017 3:23:31 PM)

Patriots over Texans
Steelers over Chiefs
Falcons over Seahawks
Cowboy over Packers

Bill Jandro -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/14/2017 3:42:41 PM)

If the Packers win the SB you will be reading about some guy going postal in SW Wisc

6-0 start but today's games are the ones I feel the least sure about

7-1
