Well done JC

Atl offense is red hot but betting against bellichek in this spot seems foolish.

I think Pats win and cover. Belichek will have a better game plan and will take Julio out of it.

Belichick did lose 2 of the last 3 Super Bowls he was in and should have lost the other but for the dumbest play call in history

He is not invinceable and without Gronk they are no big threat

Only the genius of BB will even keep it close

ATL is on a different level than anyone else right now

Julio gets 2 weeks to rest his bad foot

ATL easy

Very nice job JC ! And I think you will be right on the SB as well.

The Pats are a 3 yard Lynch run from being 0-3 in SBs since Spygate.
Belichek probably doesn't have a game plan to stop a WR from going up 8 feet in the air (Tyree Hill ?), too many weapons, and they should be healthy.

I was very wrong on Packers/Falcons, thankfully had no money on the game. GB didn't have the defense, which is what I was questioning many weeks ago, but I errantly thought Rodgers would continue to play at the level he was playing the previous 9 weeks.

I was pretty close on Pittsburgh/NE, only missing NEs score by one point, and I had the Steelers getting 6 more points.

I agree

No Gronk = no win IMO

Not to be a jerk but I wouldn't brag too much about going 9-1 picking favorites to win SU in these playoffs. Only 2 underdogs have won straight up GB vs Dallas and Pitt vs KC. The average poster here would be at least 8-2.

Another poster asked why we post the score, not to get it exactly right but to show you can beat the spread and the total.

I would love to see Atlanta win, but I am not sure how they will cope this being their first SB. It didn't matter much for Seattle when they whooped Denver, and Dan Quinn knows that team very well. However Denver hadn't been to a SB in ages either or the 49ers when they went in 2013.

This game really depends on Sanu, Gabriel, Coleman and Freeman in the passing game. The Pats struggled some with DeAngelo catching passes. The Steelers could have hung there but their secondary receivers Hamilton, Coates and Heyward-Bey were atrocious. Sanu has been good the past few games, Gabriel makes a big play every other week.

On the other side the Pats OLine was stellar vs Pittsburgh in pass pro but they struggled in the run game. The Pats were great on 3rd down converting 11-17 many were 6+ yards.

I'd lean on the Pats winning a 31-28 type game, think Vegas has this spot on. I trust BB to scheme for the one mistake to make the difference.

I believe every Superbowl the Patriots have won has been by a field goal or less.

I would take the Pats, but only by 3

Lars -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/24/2017 3:53:30 PM)

I think NE wins a very close game.

thebigo -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/24/2017 4:58:25 PM)

People (some people I should say) seem to forget that NE has the best defense in the league.

Bill Jandro -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/24/2017 5:06:25 PM)

Bellichek completely and thoroughly out coached Tomlin and his staff.

I would expect him to do the same to Quinn and co

Atl has the edge offensively

NE defensively and coaching

Bill Jandro -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/24/2017 5:11:08 PM)

NE may also create an edge unsuspectedly.

ie: plant a virus in the Falcon hotel or in the plane

joejitsu -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/27/2017 8:03:03 AM)

As much as I want to see the falcons win, I think the pats will win in a squeaker.

Brad H -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/27/2017 8:59:47 AM)

Team wearing white has won 11 of the last 12 Super Bowls. New England is wearing white. There is my scientific analysis.

kevinemmer -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/27/2017 10:29:09 AM)

Atlanta by 6 or more. [8D]

If NE wins.. I'll be bored again, if Atlanta wins I'll want to slap everyone who ever said matty ice sucked as a quarterback

And I'll go recount the # of teams other than the Vikings that haven't yet won a SB

A new way to Beli-cheat huh.......I wouldn't put it past them.
NE is a sports dynasty I just can't get myself to respect.

Ricky J -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/28/2017 12:09:39 PM)

I have no problem with NE, their coach, or their QB.

Bruce Johnson -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/28/2017 7:06:06 PM)

I have been debating whether to watch the big game or not. It pains me to see all of the success of New England. If the Vikings could just win one Super Bowl it wouldn't hurt as bad.

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/29/2017 8:39:53 PM)

This feels like last year, where for a week I thought Carolina would win, so many ways to score, just like Atlanta. The 2nd week, I was starting to think Denver would win, but then stuck with thinking Carolina would win a squeeker.

This year, I've almost completely changed to thinking NE will win. It might have been CBS radio, where a commentator was saying NE has one of the better defenses, and that the Falcons would be the worst ranked defense to ever win the SB. Is that true ? I'm not even sure.

But I could see NE making the halftime adjustments, and Matty throwing a pick that loses the game. They just looked so strong against GB. A high pass to Julio, how would NE stop that ?

So far, there is slightly more betting on NE, which surprised me a bit. So the officiating might favor the Falcons a little bit. I don't think NE has really had the officials on their side in a SB since before Spygate. The refs have either been nuetral, and I really lean towards that, or more like the SBs with them have been well officiated. If there has been any bias, you might say a slight bias towards their opposition their last 3 SBs, but I lean more towards those games being well officiated, then NEs' opposition getting much help.

The Patriots would be winless since the cheating scandal but for the dumbest playcall in SB history

Run Lynch and the Pats would be 0-4 in their last 4 SBs

I knew when Seattle had to have a non-call against Sherman to beat ATL in Seattle that they were the best team

Got every playoff game right before the playoffs started except GB-Dallas
